What is DualHacks?

DualHacks is a premier hackathon event empowering young minds to ideate, innovate, and transform the world through technology. This year's theme — education. The competition will be split up into two exciting tracks: the "Ideathon" and the "Hackathon." The Ideathon track challenges participants to unleash their creativity and pitch groundbreaking ideas that address pressing issues in the education field, while the Hackathon track invites them to bring those ideas to life by developing functional applications that revolutionize learning experiences. Both the ideathon and hackathon are open to middle, high school, and college students.

Requirements

What to Build

For the hackathon, participants are encouraged to build innovative and impactful solutions in the field of education. Let your creativity shine as you develop applications that tackle challenges such as access to quality education, student engagement, personalized learning, bridging the digital divide, and more. Whether you're creating learning management systems, educational gaming applications, AI-powered tutoring tools, collaborative learning platforms, or any other educational application, the goal is to enhance the learning experience and make a positive difference in the lives of students, teachers, and educational institutions. Participants are expected to build some type of web application.

For the ideathon, participants are expected to present a product pitch that solves a problem in the education field. This can include prototypes, business models, and innovative concepts. The ideathon is an opportunity to showcase your visionary ideas and propose creative solutions to address critical challenges in education without building a product.
