* B-Mode: which is two-dimensional, real-time, black-and-white imaging. * M-Mode: which is motion viewing. This mode shows tissue motion over a period of time. * Color Doppler: which is color imaging for blood flow over a period of time. * PW: which is pulsed wave Doppler imaging that shows direction of blood flow as well as blood flow speed * PDI: which displays the strength of the Doppler signal instead of velocity and direction. This mode is good for detecting small vessels and slow-moving blood.
