What are the Membership Perks and Benefits?
What our Members are Saying
* DIA Membership Terms and Conditions
Membership Commitment
Membership requires a minimum commitment of one year.
Member Benefits and Offers
All member benefits, discounts, and services are subject to change at the discretion of the DIA Group and its third-party providers. These may be amended, suspended, or withdrawn without prior notice.
Availability and Changes
All benefits, discounts, and promotional offers are subject to availability and may be amended, replaced, or withdrawn at any time. The inclusion of a benefit or offer at the time of joining does not guarantee its continued availability throughout the membership term. Such benefits or offers do not form part of the contractual entitlement of membership.
Liability
The DIA Group accepts no liability for any loss, inconvenience, or disappointment resulting from the change, withdrawal, or unavailability of any benefit, discount, or promotional offer. No refund or compensation shall be due in such cases.
Insurance Coverage
Public Liability and Professional Indemnity (PIPL) insurance cover is not available to trainers based in the Republic of Ireland (ROI).
To be covered by DIA’s Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance, your membership type must correspond to the training you deliver, and your activities must be declared in advance using the Training Services Confirmation Form.
Your primary role must be as an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) or Potential Driving Instructor (PDI). Any higher-risk training — such as motorcycle, off-road, or track-based instruction — must be incidental to that role and declared to DIA prior to commencement.
Insurance is only valid for activities covered by your membership level. Higher-risk training requires Plus Membership.
Membership Lapse and Renewal
If your membership lapses, a 30-day grace period is allowed for renewal. During this period, you will continue to have access to many core DIA services, such as the Helpdesk. However, any PIPL claims made during this period may be declined at DIA’s discretion. A re-joining fee may apply if membership is not renewed within this timeframe.
Member Responsibility
Members are responsible for selecting the correct membership type that reflects the training they provide and for submitting accurate details of their instructional activities. Failure to provide accurate or complete information may result in insurance claims being declined or invalidated.
