Not only is this a great place to pick up parts for your VW, they can rebuild it, make it better, stronger and faster. Great shop. They did extensive engine, transmission, and body work on my '57 Beetle and I couldn't be happier. They are friendly and professional. Doug's Bugs will be my go-to for VW work from now on.

Do not take your VW to Doug's bug's and bunny's they do lousy work.it took them 391/2 hours to rewire my dune buggy and I told them to put a painless wiring harness in it they told me they had to wire it without a wiring harness because of the fiberglass body that's a lie. i talked to a different repair shop the guy I talked to said it should have taken them around 16 hours to put In the gauges and turn signals and turn signal system on the steering column.and the wiring.they also did work that wasn't authorized and charged me for that work I needed front end ball joints and rear end bushing they didn't even get to them they charged me $7500.00 for 16 hours of just the wiring.and didn't even finished the wiring job they wanted another $2000 to finish the rest of the work that I needed done.this place ripped me off period.all the work that I needed should have been done in three days or less not three and half weeks later and

Took my 74 VW thing talk to the owner they were supposed to put an alternator instead of the generator on it they cleaned and flush the tank but put the old sending unit back in with the cracked gasket so it just leaks everywhere. get the headlights working and look at the front end what I got was the alternator never came into the picture they put a new front end on it and they were supposed to put a tune-up in it and I got the same old cracked belt back with it I don't know how they missed it had chunks of rubber out of it and everything left lines off replace lines under the hood didn't connect them all they didnt even change the spark plugs I had to ask them to do it the front end is so hard to turn don't know what happened there but for a new front end you think it would turn a lot better said they clean the carb and tuned it but the diaphragm was leaking when I got it back so and then they didn't put a in line filter on it payed over $5000 for for $2000 worth of work maybe. I was just excited to hear it run so when I' got it home I found out everything else pretty shawty work

Love this shop! They are always friendly, helpful, timely, and upfront with expected costs. I have owned my bug for almost 20 years and they are one of 5 places in 3 different states I've trusted to complete work I don't have time these days to do myself. As soon as I ship my bus here they will have their hands on that as well. Nice bonus not having to drive to Phoenix!

Today I needed parts to do a clutch cable replacement on my 67 Beetle. I had never done it before, and although they were booked up 'til May, the gentleman on the phone talked me through the process where I was having trouble, and recommended all the right parts I needed for replacement. I used every part, because they were honestly all necessary, and they were all a good deal. Then, when he did not have a part I needed, he was able to get it sent to his shop later in the afternoon for me. I would absolutely recommend this shop and their services for anyone working on their old VW!

These guys are top notch. They rebuilt my engine and transmission as well as addressed my brakes and suspension. Overhauled the drivetrain completely really. They’ve been honest, upfront and responsive through the entire process. I trust their shop, the techs and their knowledge about all things Volkswagen and you should too. You won’t find a better shop in town to actually get your project done in a timely manner. Big thanks to Art, Fish, Bryson and the rest of the crew over at Doug’s for taking great care of my project.

Best knowledge and practitioners in the valley for air cooled vdubs. Can't imagine going anywhere else for repair and restoration. Have been a customer for over 25 years and wouldn't look anywhere else!

Fish and Rebecca are amazing. Words cannot express how pleased I am with the work that they did with my bus. They found him in Iowa for me and worked on him, inside and out. Customized him the way that I wanted him, and they made sure that he was running smoothly. I have driven him across the country and haven't had any issues. Everyone says what great condition he is in and the mechanic I have now also said he is in excellent condition. I can't thank their team enough. Everyone collaborated and worked together bringing Bubba to life and he is the best thing that I have ever owned! Many thanks to your team
