404 Page

The 404 Page Template Builder in BlogNews makes it possible to design a fully customized error page using Elementor.
Instead of showing the default WordPress 404 error, a unique design can guide visitors back to the main site with custom messages, images, search bars, navigation menus, or even ads.
This helps reduce bounce rates and keeps users engaged even when they land on a broken or missing link.

How to Create a 404 Page Template

Follow these steps to build a 404 page template:

  1. Go to the WordPress Dashboard.
  2. In the left sidebar, navigate to BlogNews → Site Builder.
  3. Click the Search Page tab.
  4. Click Create Template to open the Elementor editor.
  5. Use Elementor and BlogNews widgets (such as Search Form, Post Grid, Filters, and Ads) to design the search results layout.
  6. After completing the design, click Publish.

Content & Display Settings

When building the 404 page, Site Builder provides:

  • Template Title → for identifying the 404 design.
  • Edit with Elementor → drag-and-drop builder for customization.
  • Display Condition → automatically applies to all 404 error pages.

Styling Controls

Since the 404 page is designed with Elementor, all BlogNews widget styling options are available:

  • Layout Controls: Arrange headings, messages, and navigation elements.
  • Box Settings: Background color/image, padding, margin, border radius, and shadow.
  • Typography Settings: Style error codes, headings, and body text.
  • Responsive Controls: Optimize layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile.

Pro Tip

  • Keep the design simple, clear, and lightweight to avoid further frustration.
