While using M2E Multichannel Connect to manage orders from multiple platforms, you can customize your order IDs with prefixes and suffixes to improve organization and clarity in your store. This feature helps keep your order management system streamlined and more efficient.
Why Customize Order IDs? #
- Better Order Identification: Adding a unique prefix or suffix makes it easier to identify and filter orders from specific channels, like eBay, Amazon, or Walmart.
- Improved Integration: Customized order IDs make it easier to integrate with external systems, such as inventory management or accounting software.
How to Add Prefixes or Suffixes to Order IDs #
1) Navigate to the Settings tab.
2) Select your Channel account using the account switcher.
3) Switch to the Orders section.
4) Find the section that allows you to customize your order IDs. Enable the ‘Use Channel Order ID instead of your Store Order ID’ option.
5) In the appropriate fields, enter your desired prefix and/or suffix.
6) Save the updated settings.

⚠️ You’ll need to configure these settings separately for each Channel (eBay, Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop, etc). Use the Account Switcher to move between accounts.
Example:
If you want to differentiate eBay orders from your regular Store orders, add the prefix "ebay-" to the Store Order ID field. This means that all new orders from eBay (created in your Store) will have the prefix "ebay-" attached to their order IDs, making them easy to identify.
✅ If you're selling on multiple marketplaces, consider using a marketplace code as a prefix to better identify the source of each order.
