A birth doula is a professional birth coach. We cover the Greater Toronto Area, including Aurora, Newmarket, the Kawarthas, Peterborough, Barrie, and Durham. We’re also now in Ottawa, supporting families from Orleans to Kanata.
A postpartum doula is a newborn and parenting expert. We cover the Greater Toronto Area, including Aurora, Newmarket, Oakville, the Kawarthas, Peterborough, Barrie, and Oshawa. We’re also now in Ottawa, supporting families from Orleans to Kanata.
Our Overnight Doula Service is designed to give new parents the rest they need during those early, sleepless nights. With compassionate and experienced care, your overnight doula will attend to your baby’s needs, provide breastfeeding support, and offer guidance to help you feel more confident and rested.
In recognizing her contributions to the families of Canada in improving perinatal health outcomes through Discover Birth’s childbirth education, birth and postpartum doula offerings. Stefanie Antunes had her first baby in 1998. The experience was not at all what she had hoped for. Years later before the birth of her second baby, she made sure to attend childbirth education classes and become an informed decision-maker. This time, with the knowledge she needed and techniques she learned in class, she had a fabulous experience. Right away she knew she wanted to help other families prepare for this important day.

“Nikita was is an amazing doula. She helped us get through the first 3 months with our first daughter. She is an incredibly knowledgeable, educated and enthusiastic doula. Her passion for supporting babies and mothers is immense. My husband and I always looked forward to evenings with her. She allowed us to relax and rest while she took great care of our little girl at bedtime.
As a new mom I knew nothing! She taught me how to swaddle, put a baby to sleep, manage their gas pains, learn baby cues, how to take care of myself and helped me to breastfeed which was very important to us. I had an unplanned C- section and having someone with me at night helped me heal. She brought the baby to me to feed and changed diapers and put the baby to sleep allowing me to get the rest I needed without getting out of bed. She even brought me healthy snacks! We completely trust Nikita with our baby girl and to top it off our dog loved her too. Will definitely ask for Nikita for the second kid! I’ll miss her very much!”
