A Poor Christmas

In a world of pride and greed,
A poor Christmas is what you need.
Be poor in spirit to be blessed,
Not by vanities to be stressed.

Even if luxury at Christmas abounds,
Be only concerned if godly faith surrounds.
Let your joy be not in pleasure nor wealth,
But rather in Christ who gives you good health.

This Christmas be humble and pure in heart,
And from proud and sinful ways you depart.
Hold on to God’s Word in your celebration,
Praise Jesus for saving you from damnation.

A Simple Christmas

All you need is a simple Christmas really,
In which you hold on to Christ dearly.
Don’t get carried away from Christmas dances,
Nor by stressing about your finances.

Worship and fellowship is essential,
Fancy clothes are inconsequental.
Have faith this Christmas like a mustard seed,
Trust in God to supply your every need.

Let your celebration be untainted,
And with God’s Word more acquainted.
For Jesus Christ seeks the humble and contrite,
Who love God will all their might!

This Christmas remember Christ

This Christmas remember Christ. Remember His life and remember His death. Remember His crucifixion and resurrection. You may or may have not do all your Christmas decorations and clean-up of your house. But remember what matters now is that you reject all sin and lies of the world and give place to Jesus Christ in your heart. Confess your sins unto the Lord that your heart, mind, soul and spirit are cleansed and renewed by Christ himself.

Jesus is the only begotten Son of God. He is the Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace. If you need counsel then read the Holy Word of God and pray for divine wisdom. Jesus has redeemed us from hell, sin and death and is indeed mighty seated at the right hand of God our father and Jesus loves us more than any human father or brother. Jesus gives peace to all who humble themselves before him and believe in the Gospel.

Empires have come and gone. Tyrants have come and gone. But no one, not even one person has ever been able to stop the praise that belongs to the Lord Jesus. You might have heard this saying ‘the church is the anvil that has worn out many hammers’, but have you pondered who created this anvil? It’s none other than Jesus Christ, the promised saviour child, the lamb of God who is no longer a child but is up and above all earthly weakness and intercedes for us at the right hand of God.

The kingdom of Christ is undefeatable. For it is built on the foundation of the promises of God to king David. And this kingdom preaches the Gospel and bring forth righteousness in those who believe!

Therefore remember Christ in this Christmas and forever and you will surely be in favor with God. Christ be with you!

Verses for reflection:

  • For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over His kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this. (Isaiah 9:6-7)
  • He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:10-13)
  • This is the message we have heard from Him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with Him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:5-9)

Do you have room for Jesus Christ?

Many score years ago in Bethlehem town,
Mary and Joseph went all around.
For the Son of God was to be born,
The Redeemer of the world as God sworn.

They went to seek room for his birth,
So the Savior be manifest on earth,
But no room in any inn they could find,
Due to the Roman census decree assigned.

So, in a humble stable, they stayed,
And there, the darkness began to fade.
For Jesus, the son of God, was born,
Destined to overcome every sinful horn.

Christ Jesus, fully God and fully man,
Went to fulfill God’s holy plan.
Those who trust in him will be saved,
If they repent from each path depraved.

So, for Jesus in faith, open up your heart,
Make room for Christ and never go apart.
Be humble living with Christ each day,
Let him be in your heart each time you pray.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. (Revelation 3:20)

A Christmas prayer for you

My prayer for you this Christmas is that you love Christ Jesus fully more than ever before. May your family and friends come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior as they believe in the Gospel. May your words and actions bring honor to the Lord God in season and out of season as you speak the Word of God always. I pray that the Holy Spirit brings you peace, hope, and joy as you make room for Jesus in your heart.

A poor Christmas, A rich Christmas

A poor Christmas where you have faith in God is better than a rich Christmas where you put trust in people.

A poor Christmas as you read the Holy Scriptures is better than a rich Christmas listening to worldly music.

A poor Christmas with believers in Christ Jesus is better than a rich Christmas with those who do not honour Him.

A poor Christmas with Christ is better that a million rich Christmases without Christ.

A poor Christmas where you surrender yourself fully to Jesus Christ is better than a rich Christmas when you are full of yourself.

A poor Christmas where you pray humbly is better than a rich Christmas where you dance proudly.

A poor Christmas when you share bread with the poor is better than a rich Christmas when you eat with the impious.

A poor Christmas where you realize that only Jesus Christ can save you is better than a rich Christmas filled with the vanities of life.

Merry Christmas to you and your family

I wish you all and your families a Merry Christmas. As you take time to celebrate the birth of Jesus, may God enlarge your understanding of his will for you through Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit.

Christ be with you!

The True Joy Of Christmas

The true joy of Christmas is not about eating nice food. Nor is it about having family around yourself to celebrate. It’s neither wearing fine clothes nor hearing carols being sung around the corner. All of these are good in themselves, in moderation of course, but they do not make up the true joy of Christmas. Never even be part of the ignoble Black Friday sale before Christmas time, there is nothing Christlike in it. Because you can still have all of them but lose the joy in pursuit of worldly festivities, in trying to imitate the world’s ways and the world’s vain pleasures.

But heart of hearts, the true joy of Christmas is in being grateful for God’s gift to the world; the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We didn’t deserve him then nor do we deserve him now, because its only the grace of God even till now. And whatever Jesus asks of us we only do it in loving obedience to the will of God.

I appreciate each one taking time to meditate and celebrate the gift of the Savior Jesus to this fallen world we live in. And since we have received this most solemn faith by the Spirit of God, let’s continue to celebrate Jesus not just on Christmas but each day we live.

To sum it all up; you can only find the true of joy of Christmas in being grateful and obedient to Jesus Christ every time and everyday!

Jesus is not just the reason for the season but he’s the cause of your Happy Holidays too. Be grateful to Christ Jesus for coming to save us all from sin and death. And enjoy his salvation that comes from him by the Lord God. Celebrate the life of Christ in you and speak of it to your family and friends. May the Holy Spirit always lead you to things of God. Merry Christmas everyone, in Christ Jesus!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to those who believe,
For the birth of Christ they receive.
Happy are those who love the Way,
With faithfulness they live every day.

Merry Christmas to those who endure,
To the very end they keep their faith secure.
Happy are those that serve God strong,
With Christ may they not go wrong.

Merry Christmas to my brothers and sisters in salvation,
Be glad that Jesus saves us from damnation.
Happy are those that hope in God’s Son,
With the Lord’s right arm have they won.
