Proper medical imaging training is vital to your success—not to mention the health and safety of those you’ve been entrusted to protect. Our goals are to give you the skills necessary to keep your systems up and running, familiarize you with their use in a clinical setting, provide you with valuable CEUs through our ACI-accredited program, and most importantly, provide the support network you need after you’ve completed the course.
Whether you’re a veteran engineer who needs training on a new system, an entry-level service engineer looking to go beyond the basics, or a biomed who’s about to enter the imaging equipment service field for the first time, we offer AAMI-certified training solutions that will help you take your career to the next level. Our team of expert instructors have decades of service experience on the most advanced, modern imaging equipment—with the mentor’s mindset needed to teach those skills to others.

No two organizations are the same. Your medical imaging training shouldn’t be either. With DirectMed guiding the experience, you can:
Our in-person courses are hosted at our state-of-the-art training centers. Our Toshiba/Canon in-person courses are hosted at our advanced Fort Mill training center.
All Siemens in-person courses are hosted at our state-of-the-art Appleton training center, featuring 17 clinical-style bays and 25+ fully operational imaging systems for a hands-on, immersive experience.
The facility also includes two modern classrooms and a kitchen area, all designed to support your comfort and success throughout the training.
In addition to the training bays, the center includes two modern classrooms designed for focused learning, as well as a kitchen area for your convenience and comfort during training.
The Interactive Virtual Training Academy (IVTA) provides live online imaging equipment training with your instructor—not pre-recorded videos and text-based quizzes—all with the same level of interaction and learning as in-person training.
It’s a modernized training solution based on the needs of today’s imaging engineer and provides equal access to instructors, the ability to communicate with other trainees, and the functionality to interact live with the classroom whiteboard. You’ll receive the same training and same number of AAMI CEUs. All you need is a computer, a quiet location, and the downloadable app.
DirectMed offers training on the latest technology in Siemens and Canon/Toshiba imaging equipment, from basic to expert engineer level. Our course phases allow your engineers to learn at a pace that is efficient for you and effective for them.
Courses are designed to advance service and technical support personnel’s knowledge, capabilities, and careers. During the Fundamental phase, students learn basic physics, safety, system hardware, and clinical applications used in each respective modality.
Courses include syngo Classic, syngo Native, and Fluoro Spot Compact and are designed to teach the overlying theory, concept and implementation of applications from a non-modality-specific perspective.
In this phase, students learn how to respond to the initial service call and follow up until completion. This is a practical medical imaging training course where the tools used are presented and students learn troubleshooting steps, how to solve problems, work with remote tech support, and perform PMs.
Courses virtually teach theory and fundamentals the first week, with hands-on labs the second week, centered on the core principles of operation, configuration, troubleshooting, and repair for all primary system components.
