This has been nagging me now for days. There is a debate in Washington about whether or not to give training and weaponry to the freedom fighters in Libya. How can any politician in their right mind even vaguely consider such a course of action.
Didn’t we learn anything after 9/11? Didn’t we train bin Laden and other “freedom fighters” during Kosovo and the Russian invasion of Afghanistan. Didn’t those “freedom fighters” then turn around and use that training and the weaponry against our troops?
We are still engaged in a critical struggle in Afghanistan and continuing efforts in Iraq. Am I the only one who envisions those same “freedom fighters” using that training and their new weaponry against our troops in Afghanistan and even Iraq.
Does anyone remember Al-Qaeda? I bet they do want training and weaponry.
