Letters From Prison is the latest of three works by J.P. Cannon which were literary by-products of the Minneapolis Labor Case. The other two are “Socialism on Trial”, which gives his testimony for the defence, and “Defence Policy in the Minneapolis Trial” which was a refutation of the ultraleft criticism of the courtroom strategy made by Grandizo Munis. (He was a Spanish comrade who played a role in the Fourth International for a time until he broke with the Trotskyist movement in the late 1940s.) Read the rest of this entry »
