Compilation: Media Bash Breitbart Over Weinergate by Alex Fitzsimmons at MRC TV is proof again that the mainstream media is definitely “left” biased. Wonder if that has anything to do with the fact that George Soros has holdings in the media? Read Fitzsimmons’ report on the media coverage of Anthony Weiner and form your own opinion!

Shortly after my nephew was killed in Kuwait March 5, 2004, I started a blog called Hello Iraq,. I was trying to find a way to turn my grief into something positive. I found some troop blogs when I was looking up information about my nephew. After months of going to different support blogs and reading troop blogs Hello Iraq, was born.

I wrote about a variety of topics there. I did a great deal of research on my posts before I wrote them. One day my search for information accidentally pulled up a page from the DSA website which showed the minutes from their latest National Convention. The main focus was the collapse of the old Soviet Union. After much lamenting about its demise, a man got up and talked about why Russia collapsed and how its mistakes could be “fixed” and a new nation could be built up right here in America. Pelosi says Food Stamps Helping Our Economy

Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the United States Hou...

According to a CNN report, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has taken the offensive, or is it the defensive, after Newt Gingrich made the remark:

“GOP candidates should use the growing number of people on food stamps against Democrats on the campaign trail.”

Prelosi is arguing that:

“It is the biggest bang for the buck when you do food stamps and unemployment insurance. The biggest bang for the buck”

..At a press conference in her home town of San Francisco, Pelosi explained that the program’s multiplier effect –the amount of money generated in the local economy as the result of the subsidy– far exceeds the nearly $60 billion spent this year by the federal government and is a sure-fire way to stimulate the economy. For every dollar a person receives in food stamps, Pelosi said that $1.79 is put back into the economy. The U.S. Department of Agriculture cites an even higher figure of $1.84..

Gingrich is suggesting that Republicans should use the figures showing the increase in food stamp recipients as a campaign issue. According to Gingrich:

(t turns out that Barack Obama’s idea of spreading the wealth around was spreading more food stamps around.

I don’t care for Gingrich. But, I find it hard to disagree with his remarks about this issue. Since when is good for our nation that:

The number of Americans receiving food stamps rose to a record 41.8 million in July and approximately one in eight Americans participate in the program, according to the USDA, with the average household subsidy receiving $294 a month.

Have the Democrats and Pelosi lost their perspective?
