America‘s idol, Mr Music man, Dick Clark, died April 18, 2012 from a massive coronary while at at Saint John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, California. He was under going a medic procedure when he had a heart attack and died at the age of 82. The entertainment Industry will surely feel his loss, especially the music industry. For many. like myself, his passing has very special meaning. He filled a huge portion of my childhood and teen age years with his show American Bandstand, which aired from 1957 to 1989. I can’t think of  a great musical star from that era who didn’t get their start on Band Stand.

I’m not going to make this a list if his great personal achievements. Suffice it to say all I and most of Dick’s fans cared about was his personality, his charm, his ability to promote good, clean fun, for teens in the music world when there was so much out there that labeled Rock -N-Roll as unhealthy for kids and teenagers. Thank you Dick for all you did and shared over the years. I cannot imagine New Years Eve with out Dick Clark in New York watching the show and waiting for that darn ball to fall every year for s long as I can remember! RIP Dick you now move among the “stars!” We all love you and will miss you.

It appears that some common sense has prevailed! The House Vote on “H.R. 1954: To implement the President’s request to increase the statutory limit on the public debt” failed to pass. One more hurdle has been passed. Below are the totals. i also included (only) the names of those House Members who voted “to” increase our National Debt Limit.

It is too soon to determine if Congress still has their head in the wrong place, Time will tell!

The events across our nation for the last several weeks changed my mind. It ought to change yours too!

All across the United States  there have been tornadoes, floods , and fires that have ravaged towns, farmlands, and forests. Thousands have lost their homes and livelihood. Farms are ruined. Crops of every imaginable type are wiped out. The loss to the timber industry is equally devastating. Local economies are destroyed, businesses, banks, hospitals, grocery stores, schools – all gone. Sometime ago, I wrote a post about the communist goals for taking over America. I laughed at the arrogance of the DSA members on the document, ( the minutes from a DSA National Convention in Chicago) I was reading. They were upset over the collapse of the old Soviet Union. It was absurd that the DSA or any communist really had the gall to think that they could actually overtake our Republic! But I did some more research anyway.

I found that America was constantly under attack, especially from within, by the threat of communists trying to destroy and takeover our Republic dating back as far as the late 1390’s. During that time I also found an article, the one below, that was read to the House of Representatives on January 10, 1963. The article, “Communist Goals for American Takeover,” by Mrs. Patricia Nordman, was read by Representative A.S. Herlong and committed to the Congressional Record. Read the rest of this entry »

Are You a “Flea?”

I am a “FLEA” and damned proud of it !  How about you? Oh, you don’t know what a flea is then let me tell you. I’ll use Chuck Schumer‘s words as he says it best:

What we have here is a flea wagging, a tail wagging dog. The Fleas are the “minority” of Republicans, are hard right! The “tail” is the House Republican Caucus; and, the “dog” is the government. That “Flea” is influencing what the dog does more, more than influencing, right now “determining” and it is sad!

So. tell me, are you also a flea? I want all you fleas out there to go on Facebook, Twitter, and your blogs, and let Senator Schumer, Speaker Boehner, Senator Reid,  and the President know just how many FLEAS are really out there. Thank you Senator Schumer for waking the “sleep dragon,,, er,,  FLEA!”

Recall Votes

Union officials and other supporting organization are organizing massive efforts to force recall votes in the latest effort to forestall states who are trying to pass legislation to use performance and merit for pay raises for public employees. The states are also including legislation to make public employees pay more of their retirement packages and healthcare costs in line with what private citizens now pay.

I think it is about time that legislators enacted this type legislation. Unions and their demands are bankrupting states. Public employees and federal employees should not be unionized. States and the Federal government are not private industry. There is no profit for employees to share. Even Franklin Roosevelt former union officials (George Meany) expressed this wisdom! Another W.T.F. effort??

I was watching Gretta Van Susteren tonight on FOX News. At a House Budget Committee hearing today, Rep. Tom McClintock, R-Calif., asked the Medicare Chief Actuary, Richard Foster, two pointed questions. McClintock left no room for Foster to avoid an answer by asking  simple, yes or no questions:

McCLINTOCK: True or false: The two principal promises that were made in support of Obama care were one, that it would hold costs down. True or false?

FOSTER: I would say false, more so than true.

McCLINTOCK: The other promise… was the promise that if you like your plan, you can keep it. True or false?

FOSTER: Not true in all cases.

Didn’t the President tell us all that Obama care would cut medical costs and we could keep our own insurance plans if we preferred to do so? Is this one of those “W.T.F.” moments mentioned in the State of the Union?
