Thought leadership featured in major news outlet
Before becoming The Experience Maker™, Dan spent more than 20 years leading customer experience, marketing, and digital teams at brands you know — McDonald’s, Discover, and Humana.
He didn’t learn CX from a book; he lived it. Along the way, his teams earned recognition like Discover’s first J.D. Power Award for Customer Satisfaction, and Dan became known as the kind of leader people wanted to follow.
Now, he shares those lessons from the stage, showing audiences how small, simple changes can make every interaction extraordinary. His philosophy is clear: a remarkable customer experience is your best marketing strategy — and it doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive to work.
Dan is also the author of three books on customer experience and digital engagement — including “The Experience Maker“, ranked by BookAuthority as one of the top CX books of all time, and its newly expanded second edition, “Becoming The Experience Maker”.
His thought leadership combines real-world experience with research-backed insights, grounded in a B.A. in psychology and communications from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. in marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Credibility and professionalism matter as much as the speech itself. That’s why the Certified Speaking Professional™ (CSP®) designation is such a big deal — it’s the Michelin star of the speaking world, earned by fewer than 700 speakers globally.
For meeting planners and bureau partners, the CSP is a risk reducer. It means the speaker you’re booking has been vetted through years of paid engagements, consistently high client satisfaction scores, and rigorous peer review of both stagecraft and business practices. In short, it’s third-party proof that this speaker will make you look good.
Dan earned his CSP from the National Speakers Association – confirmation of what his clients and bureau partners already experience: a polished professional who delivers remarkable experiences on stage, is super easy to work with, and protects your reputation every time.
What sets great brands apart? Keynote speaker and author Dan Gingiss shares his proven strategies for creating unforgettable customer experiences in CXO Magazine. From the power of small moments to the role of AI in CX, his insights will inspire you to rethink how you connect with your customers.

Ok, but who is
I’ve always believed that remarkable experiences aren’t just for customers — they’re how we should live our lives.
That belief has taken me on some pretty unique adventures: singing the National Anthem at Major League Baseball stadiums, once delivering a pizza to Michael Jordan, and even collecting a fleet of vintage pinball machines.
At home, I’m a proud dad of two teenagers and a rescue pup named Larry.
To me, all of these little moments prove the same point: life is richer when it’s remarkable — and that’s exactly the kind of experience I create for every audience I meet.
