Skylight Lending’s challenge

In the highly competitive renewable energy market, Skylight Lending had a clear objective: make financing for solar panels and home improvements more accessible so that more families in the United States could adopt clean energy. However, their platform was facing technological limitations that hindered growth and operational efficiency.

The client came to Crombie with the goal of building a comprehensive platform that optimized renewable energy loan management. They wanted to efficiently connect borrowers, installers, vendors, providers, and lenders in an agile and scalable system.

In collaboration with Skylight Lending, Crombie designed a platform that connected all the stakeholders, removing long and complex manual processes. First, we developed an MVP in just three months, allowing the business model to be validated early. Then, we scaled the solution with advanced features that optimized operations and improved the user experience. Today, the platform manages five product alternatives organized into two main lines — loans and leases — providing greater commercial flexibility and growth potential.
