About Our Process
How It Works
With more than 25,000 homes and businesses repiped over 30+ years, Creative Repipe has built a process designed to be efficient, predictable, and reliable.
Repiping requires trust—trust that the right materials are used, the work is done correctly, and the process is handled by experienced professionals. That’s why our approach is focused on proven methods, clear communication, and doing the job right from start to finish.
Pre-Repipe Process
Before installation begins, Creative Repipe conducts a thorough walkthrough of the home to understand layout, plumbing access points, and potential challenges. Detailed planning allows us to tailor each repipe to the home’s structure while prioritizing efficiency and minimizing disruption.
Using decades of repiping experience, we identify routing strategies that reduce unnecessary wall or tile removal—especially in sensitive areas such as bathrooms and kitchens. This preparation ensures the installation phase runs smoothly and the integrity of the home is preserved.
Repipe Process
After completing thousands of whole-home repipes, our repiping process is designed to be efficient, organized, and predictable.
Installation Day (Typically begins in the morning)
On the scheduled repipe day, our crew arrives and begins with a final walkthrough to review the routing and installation plan. During this walkthrough, we confirm access points and identify which walls will be opened so homeowners know exactly what to expect before work begins.
Protection & Installation (Most homes completed in one day)
Before installation starts, floors and work areas are carefully protected. Our experienced technicians then open necessary access points and install the new plumbing system using proven routing methods designed to minimize disruption.
Because repiping is all we do, most homes are repiped in a single day, allowing homeowners to restore water service and use their new plumbing system by the end of the day.
Inspection & Coordination (If required)
When city inspections are required, we handle permitting, scheduling, and coordination. Inspections typically occur shortly after installation and are managed to keep the project moving forward smoothly.
Timelines may vary based on home layout, plumbing access, and local inspection requirements.
Post Repipe Process
After the new plumbing system is installed, the post-repipe phase focuses on restoration, inspections, and ensuring the home is returned to normal as quickly as possible.
Inspection & Approval (If required)
When city inspections are required, we coordinate scheduling and approvals promptly after installation. This step typically occurs shortly after the repipe and helps keep the project moving forward without delays.
Wall Patching & Restoration (Typically completed within 1 day)
Once inspections are complete, our dedicated patch and restoration crew returns to repair access points created during the repiping process. Walls are patched and textured to blend with existing finishes, helping restore the home’s appearance efficiently and professionally.
In most cases, wall patching is completed in a single day. Environmental factors such as humidity or weather may occasionally affect drying times, but disruption is kept to a minimum.
Project Completion Timeline
For most homes, the full repipe process is completed within 2–3 days without a permit and 3–4 days when permits or inspections are required. Regardless of timeline, homeowners typically have running water restored after the first day.
Timelines may vary based on home layout, inspection requirements, and environmental conditions.
