Corner Bakery

The cashier was really slow and only one on duty at 630pm? Waiting for the food was also longer than normal, but the food tastes really good, so maybe worth the wait. There want that many people dining in tonight. Not sure how busy it is at lunch time, but I think this is a good option for lunch and quick bites. Lots of healthy options to choose from as well as classics and comfort foods.

In general, I'm not usually a Corner Bakery fan. It's not one of those places where I think "Oh! I gotta go there and get their ..." Which is how my brain usually works. But my teenager loves this place and often wants to go...so we go. Whenever I go, I get the shrimp linguine with olive oil, which I do enjoy and make a terrible mess of my shirt with (EVERY TIME), while my son likes the Mac and cheese with panko crumbs. We both often pick a pastry here and there...haven't found that one where I'm always like "YES! THAT ONE!!!" but they all look so good I can't resist buying one each time. As for the staff, I really like them. They've always been very very nice, and I absolutely LOVE the atmosphere. I would go and sit there just to do work on the daily if I lived closer. I really don't understand why they are not more packed every time we go, but it's probably because it's a Corner Bakery and they are all pretty "average" across the country. (I say that as a flight attendant who's been to many restaurants all over the country.) All in all, I would say it's the best Corner Bakery I've been to. If you go, try their shrimp linguine. Definitely my favorite. And your kids will probably enjoy the panko crunch if the Mac n cheese.

Was craving pancakes and just so happened to be in the area. Always a peaceful atmosphere with friendly staff. Ordered the pancake combo with bacon and eggs. No complaints, it was all good. Was hoping to add a little fizz to my order but the soda machine was broken. I opted for a lemonade instead. The cashier was high energy, full of personality and even cracked a few jokes.

Lanna and her supervisor Ann are amazing! I went there today and parked in the lot while ordering pickup, when I got out I had dropped my credit card onto the ground.... after noticing hours later Lanna saved the day and kindly looked in the store and when she was unsuccessful while we thought about the monsoon I got caught in she kindly went outside and found it! Her demeanor and positive attitude when I picked up the order and during my ordeal was outstanding! Even more so, her refusal to accept a tip shows just how humble and pure she truly is! Keep up the good work! I hope management recognizes the potential you possess!

I had the $6.99 special and it was a real bargain for what you get. Choice of pasta (Shrimp Scampi over Linguini) and choice of salad (I had the Chopped Salad). My friend also had the special - half a sandwich and soup. The sandwich was pathetic and the soup was small and just fair tasting. A real disappointment. I would go back for what I had, but skip the soup and salad. Especially if paying full price.

I used Corner Bakery in Oak Lawn for a rather large, yearly catering order, and they delivered perfectly! Everything was on time, service was prompt, and the entire process went smoothly. I received rave reviews about the food choices from everyone. Anna and Rosa were magnificent, and every staff member I worked with was professional and helpful. We will definitely continue to use Corner Bakery for our events. Thank you so much!

Tan was such a friendly and great person. Her personality is outstanding and welcoming. She is surrounded by a well grounded and supportive staff that make sure that you have a great experience. This is a great place to stop in grab a bite to eat and just relax. Everyone is so welcoming. Stop in next time you are in the area!

I usually order the chicken pomodori and the tomato soup when I visit the restaurant. They're both really good. Today I didn't want to get out of bed so I ordered through Grubhub. The driver drove in a direction that passed my house and parked there for a while. I called him and he didn't answer. I text him and told him to answer his phone. He did and told me he was fixing his tire. What!? I don't know what exactly this man was doing with my food in his car. When I got my food, I noticed it was not secured, no sticker or staple. BEWARE!!!! Corner Bakery Cafe do not secure your food. That driver had access to my paninis and soups. I was afraid to eat the food especially after he abruptly ended our conversation. The way the world is today, shame on Corner Bakery Cafe for allowing strangers access to my meals. He could have spit in it, put his tongue and who knows what else in it. I worked it out with Grubhub and went to the restaurant to inquire about basically giving strangers open food to give to their paying customers. The manager, Kendra listened, was open and very receptive. I was giving three stars but because of her I'm giving four.
