Conference Experience

Yes. The mobile app will include the full conference program, allowing attendees to build a personalized agenda, connect with other participants, and access important conference information and guidelines.

Yes. Select sessions will be recorded and may be made available after the conference. Attendees are encouraged to participate in person to gain the full conference experience.

Business casual attire is recommended for all conference sessions and daytime events. Smart casual is appropriate for evening receptions and special events. The Awards Banquet is semi-formal.

COM will feature daily networking happy hours, committee meetings, a Student Fun Night, and the MetSoc Awards Banquet.

No. The Trade Show is not open to the public and is accessible only to registered conference delegates.

Registration & Policies

Registration includes:

  • 3.5 days of programming with over 300 technical presentations
  • Plenary lectures
  • Access to the trade show and exhibits
  • Peer-reviewed conference e‑Proceedings published by Springer
  • Access to select presentation recordings
  • Welcome reception with food and beverages
  • Networking Happy Hours on Tuesday and Wednesday
  • Daily morning and afternoon coffee service
  • Complimentary Wi‑Fi throughout the conference venue
  • Certificate of attendance for 18 Professional Development Hours

All registrations must be completed online and paid by credit card.   

Early bird registration is available until June 17.

Yes. Registration transfers are permitted. Please contact us at metsoc@cim.org to complete the transfer.

  • Authors and presenters must be registered by May 17, 2026, to be confirmed in the program.
  • For all other attendees, registrations cancelled on or before June 17, 2026, are subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
  • As of June 18, 2026, registrations are non‑refundable.
  • Visa refusals are not exempt from this policy.
  • Substitutions must be submitted in writing by the original registrant no later than July 1, 2026.

Yes. Spouse or guest registration is available. They can attend the opening reception and happy hours. Guests who wish to attend technical sessions or workshops must register and pay the full conference fee.

Accommodations & Travel

Yes, we have secured discounted rates at the Hyatt Regency Calgary. Please visit the Housing & Travel webpage for details and booking links. The deadline for this discounted rate is July 24, 2026.

The Calgary International Airport (YYC) is approximately a 15–25minute drive away from the TELUS Convention Centre. Taxis, rideshares, and public transit are available. Promotional code is available if you fly Air Canada.

Yes, parking is available for a daily fee. Please check with the hotel for current rates.

Yes. 

IMPORTANT: It is the responsibility of the author/presenter/visitor to make the visa/eta application early. When you apply for your visa, you will be given a Visa Application Centre (VAC) file number. Please keep this number with you for reference.

Delegates: Your delegate registration must be completed and paid in full for you to receive a confirmation invitation letter. Please apply as soon as you register.
