I don't bite. Comment to be added. :D Lots of personal information here, but nothing groundbreaking. If you're wondering if I'm worth adding, just read the About Me post (it's public). That should be everything you need to know!

It makes me sick. So much hate and blame. I want to do something. But no, if anything happens I will sit here and die like everyone else. It's frustrating. I want to know what is real and what isn't.

My heart says it's more than a case of good guys and bad guys. That even my own leaders are in on this. But I don't want to don a tin foil hat. I just want to believe in something good.

Maybe an economical wipeout is the answer. Start from scratch, you know? Find out what is really important. Beyond the money and the oil and the land. Beyond the rape and plunder of our planet we did not choose.

The earth is crying.

The bitter truth of dreams is that they are forged in blood, tears, sweat, pain, and suffering. They don't tell you about the nights where you stay up, struggling, studying, crying. They don't tell you about the guilt you feel if you slip even a little. They don't tell you about the anger, the frustration. They don't tell you just how incredibly difficult it all is.

But that doesn't make it any less worth it.

Suffer well.

You will make it. You were built for this.

Use your suffering. Master it and you master yourself. And then, nothing will stop you.
4th-Oct-2016 10:08 am - Goals for Each Room
Vintage Typewriter

It's something I have dreamed about most of my life - owning and decorating my own home. What's better is that I have someone to pitch ideas with!

Living Room
Overarching Theme: Xbox
The walls in this room will be very dark gray, with a horizontal stripe going along each wall. If this isn't possible (I'm concerned with how level it will look thanks to the house structure) I'll paint two walls one color and two walls another, maybe with accents. We have all our furniture, but I plan on putting many more shelves on the wall to display our consoles and games we brought together. My goal in 2017 is to basically run all the cables behind the walls. Right now our TV area is a huge mass of cables and surge protectors plugged into one another, so finding a better solution for them would help unclutter our living room. Should we ever get a kitten we will need to cover them up anyway.
The floor will come up. I don't think there's hardwood beneath it, but the carpet is very old and very stained. It's going to be replaced with newer carpet in a more matching color. Lastly I'm going to have a big Xbox logo up above the TV. Curtains will probably change a bit, but we'll see!
Progress: 0%

Kitchen
Overarching Theme: DIY/Bohemian kindasorta?
The walls in this room are bright yellow, with the frame/molding to be red/rhubarb/strawberry red. Eventually the door and cabinets/furniture will be white! I will have either sky blue or bright teal accents to finish it off. The floor will be typical black and white tile. Backsplash will be shades of blue (though I'm shooting for tiles of all colors!) and the countertop I'M HOPING will be butcher's block. I don't have a large space for a countertop, but if this is an issue I'll just get a cutting board and maybe do my own tile or something. But my biggest goal that I'm hoping for? It's two-fold. In 2017, my real project begins! My plan is to build workbench style countertops - with no cabinets (I plan to use curtains). I'll have a built-in pantry shelves next to that, a bar as our dinner table that goes around the corner (though that little section will be for coffee and tea). I'm hoping to save some money doing a lot of it myself - because I'd love to get a farmhouse sink. I won't complain if I can't! I just think it would really complete the look. And after that it's just shelves instead of wall cabinets. Maybe it's materialistic, but to me it's more about making the room whimsical and inspiring! While I've never done any serious woodworking, I trust in my instincts (and my father was also big into woodworking, so I used to watch) and my ability to build and create. SO HOPEFULLY THIS WILL BE A THING.
Progress: 25%?  - As of today the kitchen is almost completely painted! I'm painting the last of the trim, and then I'll clean up with a little bit of white primer, correct any mistakes, and then do my floors and backsplash. The current countertop is a rounded 50s type model and it's VERY trashy looking. They used vinyl for the countertop and it's peeling off and smells and argh. But I'll strip the old tiles, sand the board down, and cover it up with newer, nicer tiles until it's time to replace them.

Bedroom
Overarching Theme: Philadelphia Eagles
This is more of a room for Simon - I don't care either way what it looks like so long as it's consistent. Green, gray, and white (and black) are the main colors here. Add the bedding set, matching throws and sheets, decor and bam! Done. I'll look for a rug too.

Bathroom/Shitter Closet
Overarching Theme: Star Wars
Heheh. Dark blue walls, gray and white accents! There's plenty of Star Wars bathroom decor out as I've seen it and own some.

Other room:

Right now it's a closet as our bedroom is so tiny! I'm fine with that. I'll either expand it further into a better closet (as in actually buy those snap-together cloth closets) and make it into a cheap version of a really fancy closet bwahaha.

Or I could do a library, but I think I can fit all our stuff in the other rooms.

Would you rather have another job?
...º Not really. I like the stability my job provides, and I have very few serious complaints about it! I'd rather deal with people less (preferably not at all!) but besides that, it's not terrible most days.
Did you ever live in a house with more than one story?
...º Technically. I've lived in multi-family homes for the past several years.
What’s your favorite fast food place?
 ...º Subway.
Would you go garbage picking?
...º I wouldn't mind it so much, depending on weather and how much time I had. And where it was. I don't know if I'd feel comfortable doing it in a seedy area.
What’s your opinion on spinning rims?
...º Do whatever you like. I don't care either way for them.
Do you like to go to the beach?
...º Not really. I don't like the bright whiteness, the mass amounts of people, etc. And I've never really liked saltwater.
What color are your bed sheets?
 ...º Teal.
How long will you wear a certain item of clothing without washing it?
...º Unless I spill something on it or it smells terrible I'll wear my work clothes two or three times. Jeans will last until they stretch a little (so maybe a few days to a week as long as they're reasonably clean). Bras ..let's not talk about that. Underwear is worn once and washed.
What does your purse/bag look like?
...º The one I use right now is a multicolored hobo bag. That's such an insensitive name for a bag though maaan.
Do you spend too much money on things like clothes/makeup/perfume?
...º Lol I have like no clothes. Or books, or any of that. I have a few things I wear until I wear them out, then replace as needed. I'd love more clothes someday...
What kind of a bed do you have?
 ...º Queen, platform type.
Do you like to swim?
 ...º YES.
If you could drop everything you’re doing right now and go somewhere, where would you go?
 ...º Uhhhh the mall. Haha.
What room of your home do you spend most time in?
 ...º Living room.
Do you enjoy spending time with your parents?
...º It depends on what we're doing.
Do you have moral objections to hunting?
...º Straight up sport hunting? Completely. If you use it all, then, while I disagree with it, I can't really object to it? I disagree entirely with the meat and dairy industry, however.
Did you ever have any teeth pulled?
 ...º Yeah.
What is your social drink of choice?
...º I don't drink alcohol. It tastes horrendous, makes me sick, and gives me headaches.
Did you go to college?
 ...º Nah.
How many purses do you own?
...º Two or three but I only use one so.
Do you read often?
 ...º When I can.
Have you ever gone camping in the woods?
...º In a campground on a plot of gravel, so it doesn't really count to me.
You ever try dog food?
 ...º No.
If you were poor would you steal so you could eat?
...º My family's situation was basically this: My parents made too much money to apply for food stamps, but were so far in debt and at risk of losing everything we couldn't just stop paying. So most of the time, we went to donation centers and were able to apply each week to get food. If you needed to go over your weekly or monthly allowance, you volunteered at a place of their choosing. At one point, I was working in the back room of a thrift store, putting colored tags on clothing and hanging them up. At one point my mom lost her job, so we were able to apply for food stamps. So there you go. If I were homeless I'd probably go to a soup kitchen or something, if I could. I don't know if I'd steal. I might go into a store and ask if they had anything they were going to throw out anyway. Most of the time they won't give it to you because apparently it's better in the trash than given to someone who can't pay for it BUT HEY WHAT DO I KNOW ABOUT FOOD WASTE I DON'T WORK IN RETAIL IN THE USA OR ANYTHING
Do you own anything that you borrowed from a friend but never got around to giving back?
 ...º It's not that I didn't try! He wouldn't take it back! :l
Is your second toe longer than your big toe?
...º Yeah. I have really ugly feet lmao.
Have you ever given yourself a tattoo?
 ...º Nah.
How many different homes have you lived in?
 ...º OH BOY. Let's see. 11.
What color is your bedspread?
 ...º Light teal. Very cushy.
Do you own any clothes you wouldn’t wear in front of your mother?
 ...º Uhhhh I don't think so?
Do you get a lot of paper cuts?
 ...º Not too many.
If you had $20 handed to you what would you buy with it at the store?
 ...º Food.
Do cemeteries freak you out?
...º Not at all! I feel very relaxed there.
Which sibling is or was favored most by your parents?
...º I was an only child.
What is the most valuable thing you own?
 ...º I don't know? Maybe my desktop.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
...º When people misuse apostrophes. I don't know WHY because nothing else bothers me like that. My brain more or less "trips" over the word and I get so ANGRY omg. asjdklasjkl
What’s the longest you were ever grounded?
 ...º I'm not sure. Maybe a week.

I was always curious about exactly what I eat or don't eat. While I love certain foods, I often resort to convenience as I must cook both for my husband and myself, and we have totally different diets. By the time I've made his food, I don't really want to cook anymore.

Never [ I will never eat these foods, unless forced or unknowing!]
......º meat
......º artificial sugars (splenda, sweet'n'low, equal)
......º ranch dressing
......º lard/bacon grease/crisco
......º capsicum: (these tend to make me very sick, even in small amounts)
......º sour cream (it makes me sick!)
......º whipped cream (also, stomach issues)
......º dressings (i've never liked them and won't touch them! i don't like soggy salads)
......º Gelatin (it's really groooosss :( )

Almost Never / Avoid
......º Dairy Milk (I find it gross and unappealing)
......º Peanut Butter (I used to eat it more, but it's starting to irritate my stomach)
......º Refined Sugars (I am getting to a point where I feel terrible after eating it, so)
......º MSG (If I can!)
......º Gelatin (it's gross and the process to make it is gross )
......º Garlic (I can handle garlic powder in small amounts, but real? Horrid stomach pain!)
......º Honey (one of the animal products I eliminated from my diet as part of my progress)
......º Non-Vegetarian Cheeses (yes, it's still dairy, I know)
......º Pumpkin/Pumpkin Seeds (Digestive Issues! :< )

Enjoy
......º Beans: Most, preferably dried and fresh-cooked; rinsed if canned
......º Grains: Quinoa* / Brown Rice / Long-Grain / Wild / White Rice / Oats
......º Oils/Fats: Almond Butter / Sunflower Seed Butter / Cashew Butter
......º Sweeteners: Stevia
......º  Milk: Coconut / Almond Milk / Cashew Milk / Walnut Milk
......º Butter: Unsalted, if at all
......º Eggs: Cage-Free, Organic, if at All
......º Breads: Whole-grain and smothered in seeds!
......º Fruit: Almost everything except kiwi
......º Vegetable: Everything but raw onion; anything steamed (except capsicum)
......º Greens: Spinach, Romaine Lettuce, and will try anything else
......º Cheeses: Rennet-free sharp cheddar
......º Faux Meat: Chick'n (consumed occasionally)
......º Dairy: Greek Yogurt

Convenience Foods I Prefer
......º Kashi Dark Cocoa Karma w/ Coconut Milk
......º Veggie Wraps w/ Hummus & Nutritional Yeast
......º Clif Bars
......º Larabars
......º Simply Balanced Peanut Butter Puffs

DELICIOUS MEALS I LOVE
......º Buddha Bowls~! Just not so huge.
......º Steamed Vegetables w/ Rice and Seasonings
......º Roasted Potatoes w/ Hummus
......º Chick'n Sandwich w/ Honey Mustard aka "The Jason Special"
......º Strawberry-Banana Bowls
......º Pizza w/ Marinara, Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Spinach, Broccoli, and maybe cheese!

* - I know Quinoa is not technically a grain BUT OHWELL.

Hooooooo okay I tried to summarize it, but will most likely go back and make new entries about smaller details. About other things my dad did, maybe with some excerpts from the journal I kept at that time. But I've separated it into various parts regardless because I'd never focus if I read the whole thing I'm sure. It took me a good few hours to write.

Vintage Typewriter
Important People! This will be updated as necessary! Eventually I'll include pictures, lol.

Azmondeus - Az is my husband, his name inspired from both Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering I believe. He is about a year and a half my senior, and has lived in this town for the majority of his life (he did live in Mississippi for a stint about a decade prior to our marriage, but that's another entry for another time). He loves games, mostly console games, and was a Nintendo fan up until the Xbox was released (or rather, until he played Halo for the first time). He loves sports games, certain shooters (Rainbow Six), and is, like me, a World of Warcraft (or Blizzard in general) fan. He's about six feet tall, kind of skinny, and can rock a massive beard when he wants to. :P Loves football too.
Amanda - Az's sister. She can be difficult to deal with at times but that's because I'm not quite as intense as she is! She has two sons. She loves decorating and Halloween just as much as I do. :D
Mother-in-Law - We'll call her Ma. Ma is different from my mother (who will always be referred to as mother). Ma is an amazing lady and might be one of the most open-minded people I've met. She also loves WoW, but she enjoyed gaming earlier in her life as well. She is currently retired. She can be fierce, and a hard worker too. Like me, she's short and average. She doesn't enforce social norms or expecations on her children.
Father-in-Law - We'll call him Pa. He works at a well-known diner in town and seems to know just about everyone. He's very tall and loves Nascar, though he's still hard for me to get to know because he's hardly ever home. Because his father owns the diner, Pa works six days a week for 12+ hours a day. Sometimes he'll even work Sundays, so he's almost never home.
Bandit - Bandit is a gray and white 14-year-old cat. He's intelligent and stubborn - two qualities that can mix badly when he has a grudge. He only likes fresh, flowing water, and used to drink it straight from the kitchen faucet. When Az and I got our own place, I bought him a water fountain to keep him off the counters and to save his joints. If I don't keep it filled (or if he's angry at me for one reason or another) he'll knock over the fountain. He's incredibly strong. Once he tipped his fountain and it dripped through the ceiling to the lower apartment. He loves pets, attention, and cuddling. He isn't afraid of anything and doesn't mind car rides at all.
Kiely - Kiely is a fat orange tabby (though is currently on a better diet). He's a skittish cat, and terrified of nearly everything. It took him nearly a month to really come out of hiding after we moved. Someone enters the house? GONE. It's very easy to accidentally startle him and he's always on alert - which is strange because we've never hit him? When he was a baby he fell off a banister and twisted his paw. He holds it in the air out of force of habit (or stiffness maybe?). At seven years old he is going strong, but is otherwise well behaved. He almost never meows and if you lie down for a second he will jump on your stomach and get right in your face for pets and cuddles.
Rae - Rae or Raekun is an old friend of mine. We love all manner of strange things. I met them in 2004 on the Sonic Zone Forums, a place long since dead as we formerly knew it. We bonded over roleplay, them and I. A frequenter of Furcadia and World of Warcraft, we've come a long way since we first met. We're not as close as we used to be due to completely different lives.
2nd-Oct-2016 01:17 pm - Obligatory about me.
Vintage Typewriter
Name: Sarah
Meaning: Princess
I actually loathe my first name. It's very common, boring, and the reason behind it is simply because "it was in the Bible". I especially dislike it because of the meaning it has combined with my middle name, which is 'Elaine'. So essentially my name means "princess light". It sounds goofy and gross and I dislike it. But my middle name by itself? I love it! It's a variant form of Helen and was borne in Arthurian legend. I -LOVE- that. That's such a cool name. I'd love it my name were Elaine because I could be nicknamed Lainey!
Age: 28
Birthday: February 11, 1988 @ 6:44 PM
Zodiac Sign: Aquarian
Sun Sign: Leo
Rising Sign: Saggitarius
Element: Fire
Chinese Zodiac: Rabbit  [I was just shy of being a Dragon argh!]
Location: New York
Birthplace: Tucker, GA
Height: 5'2"~
I'm reasonably short, stocky, and muscular. I'm not thin at all, but I'm not really fat either? I'm more or less in the middle and with a heavy skeleton on top of muscle it's a bit of a comical appearance sadly. I am broad-shouldered, short-waisted, and short-legged. This makes it very difficult to find clothing that actually flatters my figure because I'm so mismatched.
I have naturally blonde hair, but I love dying it various colors. I'm on a pink and purple trend now. I used to like cutting it short, and while I really love pixie cuts and mohawks, I think I'm done with trying to achieve that look. I will grow it out long, and feel more free.

I am married to my husband Azmondeus as of June 26, 2016 after about three and a half years together. I never thought THAT day would come, lmao.

Television will probably never have a place on this list. While I have no problems with TV in general, I have a very hard time focusing on something that I am not directly engaging in. My mind tends to wander if not actively being used, and I am prone to daydreaming and quickly growing scatterbrained. I can barely handle a 30-minute television show without either falling asleep or getting antsy, no matter how interesting it may be. But give me a book, a game, or something like that, and I can sit there for hours because I'm actually involved with the story. I can sit through some movies, but there may be considerably less movies than well, anything else.
