Attendee Policies

Anti-Harassment Policy: CODCon has a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, including stalking, intimidation, non-consensual photography and inappropriate physical contact. Harassment of any kind, including, but not limited to, verbal or physical assault, deliberate intimidation, stalking, or unwelcome physical attention, will not be tolerated. If someone tells you “no” or to leave them alone, your business with them is done. If you continue to attempt to have contact with that person, you may be removed from the premises. If you are feeling harassed please let the event staff know about the issue promptly.

Weapons & Prop Policy: "Live steel" (metal blades, sharp or dull) is prohibited. Prop weapons must be inspected and peace-bonded (zip-tied) upon entry. Functioning projectile weapons, including water guns and silly string guns, are not allowed.

Costume & Dress Code: Costumes must be family-friendly** and, at a minimum, cover as much as a swimsuit. Masks may be required to be removable for security checks. Shoes or footwear are required at all times. No rollerblades, Heelies (with wheels inserted), or stilts are permitted, due to safety and space concerns.

Children & Minors: Minors under 16 require accompaniment by a parent or guardian.

Security & Safety: Staff has the right to remove anyone violating policies or making other guests feel unsafe.

Photography/Filming: Personal photography is allowed, flash photography is prohibited in panels. Ask before taking photos of cosplayers and respect their boundaries.

Prohibited Items: Drones, balloons, selfie sticks, laser pointers and rollerblades. Alcohol or alcoholic beverages are not allowed inside convention space. Smoking, including but not limited to cigarettes, vapes, E-cigarettes, pipes and cigars is not permitted anywhere in convention spaces. Anyone found with any prohibited items will be removed from the convention.

Behavior: Disruptive behavior interferes with the enjoyment for all con goers and is not permitted. Examples of disruptive behavior include ,but are not limited to, running, yelling or using disruptive noise makers, roughhousing, profanity, public intoxication, blocking traffic flow, or any other behavior which is deemed disruptive, dangerous, or that common sense dictates you should not do. Initially you will be asked politely to stop, and subsequent disturbances will result in removal from the event hall.
