Yes. CloudRaya is a self-managed platform. If you need help, our support team is ready to assist in project implementation, migration, or VM management by adding an additional service "Enterprise Managed Service". This service can be found in the services menu in your CloudRaya panel.

CloudRaya is built on 1 large cluster environment, where data is stored securely and redundantly. Equipped with ISO 27001:2013 certification, CloudRaya by Wowrack guarantees high credibility in securing customer data. Regarding SLA, we have 99.5% for global network SLA, 99% for public exchange network and 100% availability for infrastructure SLA. Please access the details here: https://cloudraya.com/en/legal/

On a multi-tenant platform like CloudRaya, isolation is done at the virtualization level. In most cases, such isolation is very secure. However, we also invite CloudRaya users to actively contribute to securing data security by using an architectural design that supports data security such as the N-tier architecture.

For CloudRaya SLA's detail, you can check it by clicking on this link: https://cloudraya.com/en/legal/

Sure, we can. That is one of our key features from CloudRaya, allowing users to pay only for what the users use. VM will be charged only when it is active.

For security reasons, we can not inform you about the exact location of our Data Center. But, we would like to inform you that our regions and zones are in Jakarta, Surabaya, Denpasar, Medan and Seattle.

The migration process will involve several essential steps, such as:

  • Assessment and evaluation process
  • Planning and design process
  • Data application migration process
  • Testing and validation process

Migration of 1 full Linux-based OS can be done by the method which uses RSYNC entire machine and then synchronized with the destinated VM. Meanwhile, the migration of 1 full Windows server OS can be done by using the method of Acronis Cyber Backup.

Once the migration process is complete, we need to test it and validate several elements, so that we can make sure that it has synchronized with the destinated VM, such as Private and Public IP.

If you have questions or challenges, feel free to trust your migration process to our support team by using our managed service. We will be happy to help the whole migration process.

Correct, if it's taken in literal meaning. However, it should be noted that CloudRaya utilizes IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) technology, which creates a significant difference between CloudRaya and VPS service.

In traditional VPS services, you often get one virtual server running on a single physical machine with fixed resource allocation. In the case of CloudRaya, we adopt advanced redundancy and virtualization technology. This means your resources will be managed through a larger infrastructure, with the flexibility to scale up or down based on your needs.

You can easily manage your own virtual infrastructure through a user-friendly panel, without dependence on support teams. Additionally, CloudRaya implements a usage-based payment model (pay-per-use), meaning you only pay for the resources you consume, without monthly contract commitments. So, if you need flexibility and scalability, CloudRaya is a highly suitable choice for your on-demand needs

Certainly. There are various ways and methods to integrate your CloudRaya services with your existing IT infrastructure. It depends on the specific service within CloudRaya that you wish to leverage, for example:

  • VM services: it could be used for setting up a disaster recovery solution.
  • CloudRaya's object storage: It can be function to serve as a storage location for your application assets or as an archive storage solution.
  • CloudRaya's DNS Bucket: you can manage domain name pointing across various parts of your infrastructure using DNS Bucket.

And there are many other possibilities depending on the specific goals of your projects.

As a global public cloud platform, we provide a secure and safe environment for developers and businesses to deploy their apps.

Yes, you can. Our current services have non-vendor-locking by nature.

There is no contract for using CloudRaya's services. You can leave whenever you want, unless for a special case.

The migration process starts with creating requirements and designing architecture that fits the needs of the customer's use case. Then, the migration separated the stateless & stateful services. The migration for stateless and stateful service needs to be executed alternately.

Yes, we do. You can adopt container and orchestration technology like Kubernetes manually or by the help of CloudRaya's Kubernetes as a Service, KubeRaya.

By default, the ICMP port on CloudRaya is closed. If you want to ping your VM's public IP, you can open an ICMP port on the ACL in the VPC.

Of course. With good computing resources and fast storage performance (100% SSD Enterprise), CloudRaya can support an extremely heavy workload and high IOPS.

No need. You can resize while your VM is active. However, in the process of changing the specifications, the VM will automatically restart first. So make sure there are no activities that you are still doing on the VM.

Yes, we do. CloudRaya is supported by that feature. You can use 2 public IPs for 1 VM on CloudRaya's user panel, by accessing "Public & Private IP" tab inside the VM detail menu. Visit our Knowledge Base page for more detail of how to set up.

The bandwidth or data transfer of CloudRaya is 3TB (3.000GB)/month/VM.

For CloudRaya features like load balancer, VM, and KubeRaya (for each node) includes a free data transfer quota of 3TB. If the the usage exceeds 3TB, an additional charge of Rp375 per GB applies for the excess bandwidth. For example, if usage reaches 4TB, the excess 1,000GB will be charged at 1,000 x Rp375.

If you access your private IP VM, which is in the same region and in your CloudRaya account, it will not reduce your data transfer. Unless you access a network outside your account (public IP, public IP of another VM in a different CR account) or access your VM with a different region.

On CloudRaya, when you have selected the default service package (x-small, small-r2, xlarge-r32, etc.), the package will automatically include 1 public IP. If you create a VM without a public IP, you can use the "Custom" option or choose the x-small package, which does not include a public IP.

If you want to set your VM as if it were private, you can close the firewall and just open the 22 port for SSH.

SSL is an add-on service from CloudRaya. You can add SSL if you need it by accessing Services menu > Licenses on your CloudRaya user panel.

Correct. You get a static Public IP for your VM.

For now, CloudRaya supports IPv4.

Your VM will be suspended automatically when your CloudRaya balance is insufficient to continue running your VM. After you top up, the VM will automatically be active again. Normally, the VM will be destroyed 3 days after your VM is suspended by the CloudRaya system. But don't worry; our after-sales team will proactively contact you to inform you about this. If there is no confirmation within 3 consecutive days, then on the 4th day, the VM will be destroyed.

Once your bandwidth exceeds 3 TB, you will be charged an additional bandwidth or data transfer fee from CloudRaya of IDR 375/GB.

No, it will not. Your VM will be still active. Exceeding bandwidth/ data transfer will only automatically reduce your credit.

Yes, you can. CloudRaya offers flexible storage solutions depending on your needs:

If you need cloud storage with file management and Group Policy Object (GPO) features, you can install NextCloud on your VM. NextCloud acts as a third-party platform for cloud storage, utilizing CloudRaya’s infrastructure (Storage, CPU, RAM). Learn how to install NextCloud on CloudRaya here.

If you only need storage for data archiving, StorageRaya is available. It is an object storage service compatible with the S3 protocol, offering secure file storage at an affordable price, starting from IDR 325/GB/month.

Note: The listed price covers VM services only. Additional licenses, such as Windows Server OS, can be added directly from the panel.

The price listed on the website is the price for the VM service only. For other license requirements such OS, you can add them directly inside the panel.

The available SQL Server bundled with Windows OS on CloudRaya uses the Standard type.

Yes, you can. You only need to send an email to our support team at support@wowrack.co.id. Please include the information about which public IP you need to set the PTR for.

Yes, there is a limit. For now, the total number of limitation on CloudRaya is:
Max CPU Cores: 32
Max Memory: 64GB
Max Primary Storage: 1020GB
Max Secondary Storage: 10TB

There is no specific limit for creating private IPs in a VM regarding the number of private IPs you can add. The number of private IPs you can use depends on the number of VPC subnets you have. However, the limitations of adding a public IP that can translate this private IP are related to your account limitations. To find out the limitations that apply to your account, you can visit your account profile page at the following link: https://panel.cloudraya.com/profile

The billing method for Windows OS and SQL Server on CloudRaya follows a pay-per-use model, with costs calculated per hour.

There is no difference in the new VM setup in either location. One of the main goals in placing VMs in different locations is to get fast server response and low latency.

Each operating system can be the best operating system if it suits your needs and project. However, as a general guide, choose the basis behind the operating system, who developed the operating system, and when support for the operating system will be stopped.

If you choose not to use an SSH Key, you will need to log in using a password every time you access the VM. This can be less secure and less convenient compared to using an SSH Key, as passwords can be vulnerable to attacks, and repeated manual logins take more time.

It takes about 2 to 5 minutes, depending on the VM specification that is being deployed.

KubeRaya is a CloudRaya service that simplifies the Kubernetes cluster's deployment complexity. It provides optimal scalability and efficiency, and everything is ready to deploy anytime, anywhere.

Using Kubernetes management on CloudRaya has many advantages, especially in saving time and effort. This includes the installation process, ready-made initial configuration, and the ability to easily scale nodes. This way, you can focus more on your applications and services without having to get too involved in Kubernetes infrastructure administration.

The main difference is that VMs are virtualization machines that have a full operating system, while nodes in Kubernetes are lighter machines that are used to run containers with Kubernetes management. The choice between VMs and nodes in Kubernetes depends on the needs, level of isolation, and type of application to be run.

Kubernetes uses CloudRaya's cloud servers. For now, we do not support Bare Metal servers.

No, KubeRaya does not come with an ingress controller preconfigured. Vultr Load Balancers will work with any ingress controller you deploy. Popular ingress controllers include Nginx, HAProxy, and Traefik.

Correct. The calculation is the same with the VM-based.

While proper use of namespaces and security configurations can provide good isolation within a single Kubernetes cluster, it cannot be completely guaranteed. Security risks always exist in shared environments. If the security and privacy of customer data are top priorities and risks must be completely minimized, then splitting the cluster into separate clusters may be the best option. Data security is a very serious matter, and the final decision must be based on the need and the level of risk accepted.

Correct. In Kubernetes, we have the flexibility to quickly scale pods as needed. However, it is important to remember that IOPS (Input/Output Operations Per Second) performance is still tied to the underlying VM infrastructure. Although we can change the number of pods, the IOPS available for each pod still depends on the VM infrastructure specifications. In some cases, there is a relation between VM specifications such as RAM and storage with the number of users that can be accessed simultaneously. Therefore, it is important to understand and optimize the VM infrastructure specifications to meet the desired application and traffic requirements.

You should consider using Kubernetes as a Service (KaaS) when you want to manage applications in containers (e.g., Docker) at a large scale without the hassle. KaaS is a great choice when you want to focus on application development rather than dealing with the complex parts of Kubernetes server clusters. With KaaS, most of the infrastructure management tasks will be handled by KubeRaya.

Autoscaling nodes in Kubernetes as a Service (KaaS) function by monitoring the performance of the Kubernetes cluster and adjusting the number of nodes based on predefined rules. Its operation involves workload monitoring, automatic decision-making based on specific metrics (e.g., CPU usage), and provisioning additional nodes as needed to accommodate increased workloads. Autoscaling ensures optimal cluster performance, resource savings, and application availability.

Yes, there are several tools that can simplify Kubernetes cluster management through more intuitive graphical user interfaces (GUIs). Two of them are Kubernetes Dashboard and Lens. Kubernetes Dashboard provides a web-based graphical view that allows you to monitor and manage resources in your cluster. Meanwhile, Lens is a desktop application that offers a powerful GUI and additional features to ease Kubernetes management. Choosing between the two depends on your preferences and specific needs.

"Kubernetes and Docker are two commonly used technologies in container environments, but they have different roles and functions. Here are the differences and their relationship:

  • Docker is a containerization platform used to create, package, and run containers. Containers are isolated units that contain applications and their dependencies. Docker is well-suited for developing and running containers locally on your computer.
  • Kubernetes is a container orchestration system used to manage, schedule, and automate the deployment, scaling, and management of containers in a production environment. Kubernetes allows you to manage containers at a large scale, control application deployments, and monitor and manage resources.

These two technologies work together in the container ecosystem:

  • Docker is used to build and run containers that contain applications and their dependencies.
  • Kubernetes is used to manage containers in a cluster based on specified configurations (such as replication, deployment, services, and more).

In other words, Docker helps create containers, while Kubernetes assists in managing those containers. They work synergistically to provide a solution for managing container-based applications in complex and large-scale environments."

Virtual Private Cloud. A wrapper, container, bundle, where we can own an imaginative router in the datacenter.

No, there is no additional cost for data transfer within your VPC.

No, there is no additional cost for vrouter IP.

No, vrouter IP does not reduce your Public IP limit.

Yes, you will still incur data transfer charges because communication will go through the internet and use Public IPs.

With an interactive and simple user interface, DNS Bucket makes it easy for you to manage DNS records for your domains from various domain providers. You can manage various DNS records, including SOA, NS, A, AAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, SRV, PTR.

Yes, you can set the TTL as desired.

Snapshot and backup are methods to store previous states of your VMs. The difference is that with snapshots, you manually save the state of a VM without a set schedule. On the other hand, the backup feature allows you to save the state of a VM on a scheduled basis and lets the system determine the retention and backup schedule.

Yes, you can. CloudRaya has 2 backup options, basic backup and advance backup. Basic backup is available in the VM Detail menu to set backup frequency and retention, and advanced backup by Acronis Cyber Backup, which provides ransomware protection, backup scheduling, and enhanced security. You can find it in the Marketplace > Acronis menu in your CloudRaya user panel.

Yes, you can still create new VMs using the existing snapshot image. However, please note that as long as you keep the snapshot image in your CloudRaya account, there will be a snapshot fee of IDR 2/GB per snapshot per hour.

Yes, the snapshot will still be available. You can check your snapshots in the Resources > VM Storage page.

CloudRaya's backup is not stored on the same server or device. CloudRaya uses a large clustered server approach and implements high availability (HA) to store backups in a distributed manner across different servers. This is to increase data security and availability.

The backup feature in CloudRaya creates complete copies of your VMs at specific times, performed on a scheduled basis with the ability to determine suitable retention periods and backup schedules. This backup includes all components of the VM, including the operating system, applications, data, and configuration. In other words, the backup feature stores the complete state of the VM at the time of backup, enabling the recovery of the VM to a specific point in time if needed.

Certainly, there are many alternative backup solutions available. One option is Acronis Cyber Backup. However, choosing the right backup solution should be based on your specific goals and needs, as backup involves various parameters such as data retention, types of data to be stored, required recovery levels, and more. By understanding your needs in detail, you can choose the backup solution that best suits your environment."

Currently, CloudRaya uses two main methods to provide reports to customers regarding maintenance and service-related issues.

The terms '1backup' to '4backup' refer to the level or version of backups you can save in CloudRaya. Each number represents the retention period for backups.

The backup and DR should be on the customer side who designs the infrastructure. We have a backup service and multi-region options which are sufficient for customers to handle those needs.

No, VPN cannot increase your connection speed. Your speed still depends on your existing internet connection. VPN is used for secure tunneling to connect to the CloudRaya network.

The VPN feature in CloudRaya is free and does not incur additional costs.

This issue is likely due to a Windows update that may have caused problems with connecting to the VPN. To resolve this, ensure that your Windows is up to date, or is at least updated to KB5010793 (January 18, 2022).

As of now, CloudRaya's Load Balancer does not support SSL termination.

Yes, you can install SSL on the load balancer at each web server behind it. Additionally, please note that CloudRaya's Load Balancer is a Network Load Balancer that operates at OSI Layer 4. For this requirement, a third-party solution like NGINX could be considered.

For the Load Balancer, there is no cost (free), but as the Load Balancer requires 1 Public IP, the incurred cost is for the additional Public IP (IDR 140 / Hour).

Yes, one of the features and benefits of CloudRaya is that you can automate many tasks using APIs. You can refer to the API documentation for CloudRaya at https://panel.cloudraya.com/apidoc/

In regards to API gateway security, we only allow whitelisting based on individual Public IPs, not whitelisting based on Public IP subnets.

At this time, there are no specific Ansible modules or automation modules available. However, you can still perform various actions related to CloudRaya with the following approaches:

  1. You can use the provided API collections to perform actions on CloudRaya.
  2. Alternatively, you can build your own Ansible scripts that suit your needs and then integrate the CloudRaya API into your Ansible scripts.

You can check the total bandwidth usage for your Object Storage service in the Billing > History > Monthly Usage section. Scroll to the "Object Storage" section, where you'll find the Object Storage usage in IDR and Bandwidth Usage in KB/MB/GB/TB for the specified month.

Object Storage and VM are different services. The Data Transfer of 1TB for Object Storage is calculated for outbound (download) activities from your end. If you perform inbound (upload) activities to store data in Object Storage, there is no additional cost. In Object Storage, you don't need to worry about the computing service (CPU & RAM) you need to run the storage. You focus only on the total GB/TB of files you store. CloudRaya, on the other hand, charges for both inbound and outbound data transfer and computing services.

We ensure that your data is always securely stored with high availability because StorageRaya is built within a clustered infrastructure with redundancy. Your data is replicated across all StorageRaya servers, ensuring it can always be accessed even in the event of an issue with one of the servers.

Yes, you can upload your files to StorageRaya using certain Android applications that integrate with and perform activities related to Object Storage (upload, download, sync). One of the applications is 'BucketAnywhere for S3,' which can be found on the Google Play Store. (Google Play Store link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=lysesoft.s3anywhere)

As of now, CloudRaya does not offer that feature.

However, there may be updates and new features related to StorageRaya in the future. Stay informed about any updates by following CloudRaya's social media channels!

The minimum balance required is IDR 50.000,00.

Unique here refers to the name of your bucket. It has to be different from other bucket names owned by other StorageRaya users.

VM Storage is a storage service you receive and can add as an add-on when subscribed to CloudRaya's VM. Meanwhile, Object Storage is a storage service you will receive when you subscribe to CloudRaya's StorageRaya.

Activating File Listing in your bucket will allow you to decide whether or not your bucket can be accessed through the public network.
Use Case:
Try to create a new bucket and fill it with files. Then, access said bucket directly at (https://s3-jak01.storageraya.com/bucket-name).

  • Enable File Listing: Any file inside the bucket is available to access.
  • Restrict File Listing: Any file inside the bucket is hidden from access.

You will not lose your buckets and files if you experience account suspension due to insufficient credits. This suspension will only restrict your access to your object storage through S3 CMD, Cyberduck, or other third-party services.

During this moment, you have a 3-day grace period to top up your credits. We advised you to immediately top up your credit to lift the suspension, as failing to do so will result in the destruction of any buckets and files owned by the account.

You can. StorageRaya can accommodate all your storage needs, from DRC, archive storage, or high-availability storage for on-demand applications (streaming services, etc.)

You can also program StorageRaya as a designated storage for your applications from your private cloud. You can achieve this using the S3 protocol in your applications.

No. All inbound transfer will always be free.

There is no time limit for either keys.

At the moment, you can only have 1 Access and Secret Key in StorageRaya.

Yes, you will. We recommend you to delete your empty bucket to avoid unnecessary billing.

StorageRaya follows the standard CloudRaya's SLA. You can check it here: https://cloudraya.com/en/legal/

The backup solution is currently available only for CloudRaya's VM solution. However, StorageRaya has come with redundant cluster infrastructure to prevent unwanted data loss. If you need backup, we advise you to perform replication of the desired Object Storage to other CloudRaya services or on-premises.

Yes, it does. StorageRaya is available with CDN to better optimized your buckets traffic in StorageRaya.

StorageRaya offers CDN as a free feature. You will not receive an additional charge if you use CDN in StorageRaya.

Sub-bucket allows the user to have a storage structure within the primary bucket. For example:

  • for Reseller: Sub-bucket allows the user to become a reseller of CloudRaya service. Each customer of the user will receive a sub-bucket, managed separately, and therefore able to resell the storage service to plenty of customers.
  • for Project & Team Management:
Sub-bucket allows user to create storage with access requirements since each sub-bucket have their own dedicated access and secret key, separated from the main bucket. This allows for better data security and secrecy.

There is also policy settings about storage and automatic data destruction for each sub-bucket, such as the maximum size of each sub-bucket and timed data deletion.

The difference between VM Backup and StorageRaya is the focus of the service:

  1. VM Backup: This service focuses on replicating your VM at certain times to be your backup. It includes operating systems, applications, and data. With this service, you can revert your VM to the backup state when an accident happens to the primary VM.
  2. StorageRaya: This service focuses on storing your data. It can be described as a warehouse separated from the house that you can use to keep files, documents, or other important data safely. Additionally, you can use this service to store your apps or assets.

In short, VM Backup is for preserving your VM while StorageRaya is for safekeeping your data.

When your VM is in stopped condition, you will not be charged for computation resources (CPU, RAM) or public IP usage. However, you will still be charged for the storage usage. The current rate for storage usage is IDR 4,62/GB per hour. You can check about this in detail on the page Billing > History.

CloudRaya has several payment options you can use, such as bank transfer, BCA Virtual Account, PayPal, and Credit Card.

No. You will not lose your balance if you are not using any of CloudRaya's services.

You cannot refund your balance. We advised you to double check before you top-up your balance.

Currently, the minimum amount for top-up in CloudRaya is IDR 100.000. You can check it further through Billing > Credit.

CloudRaya uses a top-up balance concept. Thus, the tax is included in the top-up process. It amounts to 10% of your top-up amount.

There is no way for you to delete an invoice at this moment. If you accidentally create an invoice, you can ignore the invoice. Its status will automatically become “Canceled” once the time runs out.

By default, CloudRaya billing systems will verify your payment with the latest available invoice, in this case, it is ID 2. If you want to pay for ID 1, we advise you to create a new invoice that replicates ID 1 invoice.

No, there are not. We will only charge you the last 1-hour fee before your account suspension.

You can change your email through CloudRaya user panel. Go to User Profile > Email.

Do the following steps:

  1. Make sure it is the correct email address
  2. Check your Spam/Junk inbox
  3. Click “Resend” to resend your verification email. You can do this by filling in the account email at panel.cloudraya.com
  4. If nothing else works, please contact support@wowrack.co.id or directly contact us through live chat at the CloudRaya website.

You can access it through https://panel.cloudraya.com/ with your registered CloudRaya account.

You can send a request through email at sales@wowrack.co.id, with the details of your objective for the additional VM and a copy of your ID.

Your VM will automatically be in a suspension state if you have insufficient balance. Once you top-up your balance, your VM will lose the suspension state.

This feature is currently unavailable to the public due to it still being tested internally by our engineers.

CloudRaya supports up to 200Mbps for local and international connections.

For local internet exchange, we have IIX, OpenIXP, and NCIX. Meanwhile, for international connection, we have NTT and NAPINFO.

For the ping stability test, you can ping demobox.wowrack.co.id, while for the speed test, use speedtest.net and pick “CloudRaya” as the server.

You can access it through https://lg.wowrack.co.id

No, it do not. To do that, you have to build your own VPN tunel.

For Indihome in Surabaya, the routing will go directly to our data center since it is already a part of IIX APJII Jatim.

Generally, the closer you are to your VM, the better it will perform. However, there is another factor you need to consider, which is your provider. Let's say you are in Surabaya. If you want to access your VM directly, your internet provider must be a part of IIX APJII Jatim.

If you want to create a website with the help of a web hosting management platform, we provide an addon license WHM cPanel package that allows up to 5 admin accounts. With this package, you will receive full access to the web hosting customization service, and you can add up to 5 cPanel accounts.
