Anthony manages Cleantech Group’s Market Intelligence team, delivering critical insights on new cleantech innovation and opportunities for engagement to Cleantech Group’s clients in the industrial, investment, and policy communities. He is based in the U.S.

Anthony joined Cleantech Group in late 2019 after over 8 years of work in US-China cross-border expansion consulting and start-up venture funding roles, including 5 years living in Shanghai.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from University of Rhode Island, a Masters in Sustainability from the Harvard Extension School, and an MBA at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.

Jules is the Founder and Executive Director of Cleantech for Europe, the initiative bridging the gap between the European cleantech community and policymakers. He chairs Cleantech for Europe’s Investor and Scale-up coalitions, conveying the experience and input of the cleantech community to policymakers in Brussels and beyond. Jules is also a member of the European Commission’s Innovation Fund Expert Group. He has been with Cleantech Group for >10 years, taking on a variety of roles in that time. Today he is our Director of Advocacy, overseeing not only the Cleantech for Europe initiative, but also the regional initiatives in France, Iberia, Italy and UK.

He started his career in San Francisco and London, advising the world’s foremost cleantech investors, corporates and governments for more than a decade.

Jules is based in France and graduated summa cum laude from Sciences Po Paris.

Marcel van Galen is Director of Sales and Client Services at Cleantech Group and is based in the U.S. He manages both the new client acquisition and client management teams, and is responsible for global sales of Cleantech Group’s suite of services.

Marcel has over 20 years experience managing sales teams in research firms, most recently at Lux Research. He was a Partner at Emerging Energy Research, a renewable energy focused research firm, worked for IHS (now S&P Global), and has broad experience in clean technology markets.

A native of the Netherlands, Marcel is fluent in English and Dutch and attended the School of Economics in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

Richard Youngman is CEO of Cleantech Group and is based in London. He has been with Cleantech Group since 2008 as a Managing Director before becoming CEO in 2016. Richard has more than 20 years’ experience researching cleantech innovation, venture capital markets, and global start-ups. He is a regular keynote speaker at major cleantech events and is the driving force behind the annual Global Cleantech 100, a list of the world’s most promising private cleantech companies.

Before joining Cleantech Group, Richard ran the research team at Library House, which discovered and collected the information about high-growth companies that underpinned that company’s data, analytical, and event services. This followed nine years building a broad-based finance and research background with leading financial institutions such as ABN AMRO, Barclays Capital and BZW in the City of London.

Richard obtained his MBA from Theseus Institute – International Management Institute and his BA from the University of Cambridge.

Sarah is the Director of Events and Programs at Cleantech Group and based in New York. She leads a small team who plans and executes all Cleantech Forums and manages different Programs like APAC Cleantech 25, Cleantech 50 to Watch and the Global Cleantech 100.

Sarah has over 20 years of experience as a meeting planner and project manager. She started her career in the not-for-profit industry, before moving over to the corporate world several years ago to build and execute scalable experiences for clients.

Sarah earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from George Mason University and an MBA from Pace University. She also earned the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and Digital Event Strategist (DES) credentials.
