Dissent & Democracy is CLDC’s program proactively challenging governmental attacks on civil liberties and rights through “Know Your Rights & Risks” (KYRR) workshops, as well as digital and operational security trainings.

CLDC has substantially increased the diversity of training we provide, including but not limited to: immigration & allies, street protests, grand juries, youth, criminal procedure (from arrest to sentencing), climate activism, nonprofit and campaign legal risk assessment, and legal observing, as well as our Train the Trainer program (restarting in fall 2025), which builds capacity for more training nationwide.
