These five sites are partners in the CLASSICA Horizon Europe project, contributing to the development and clinical validation of AI-driven cancer classification.

University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland, is the trial sponsor. Professor Ronan Cahill, Professor of Surgery UCD, is CLASSICA project Coordinator and the CLASSICA Study Coordinating Investigator.

The CLASSICA trial has been registered at clinicaltrials.gov (Identifier NCT05793554).

Prof. Alberto Arezzo, Distinguished Professor of Surgery & Consultant Colorectal Surgeon, is the Principal Investigator & Coordinating Investigator at Universita degli Studi di Torino (UNITO).

Prof. Joep Knol, Chair Dept Colorectal Surgery & Consultant Colorectal Surgeon, is the Principal Investigator & Coordinating Investigator at Ziekenhuis Oost-Limburg Autonome Verzorgingsinstelling (ZOL).

Prof. Juririaan Tuynman, Associate Professor & Chair of Colorectal Cancer Care, Consultant Colorectal Surgeon, is the Principal Investigator & Coordinating Investigator at Amsterdam UMC.

Prof. Felix Aigner, Professor of Surgery & Consultant Colorectal Surgeon, is the Principal Investigator & Coordinating Investigator at Krankenhaus der Barmherzigen Brüder Graz.

These clinical sites have joined the CLASSICA trial, expanding the study’s reach and supporting the evaluation of AI-assisted decision-making in real-world surgical settings.
