CLASSICA

Our overall aim is to improve cancer surgery outcomes by bringing AI into the operating theatre.

  • CLASSICA

The CLASSICA project will clinically validate the use of AI-driven imaging and decision support in real-time cancer surgery.

  • Clinical trial

Five leading cancer surgery centres across Europe will treat 500 patients. The validation studies will ensure that the CLASSICA technology and methods can be generalised across clinics and will help to optimise the AI assistance given to surgeons.

  • Collaboration

CLASSICA brings together experts in colorectal cancer, precision surgery, AI and technology, biomedical law and ethics, surgical training, and surgical guidelines.

  • Communication

Sharing what we learn is an important part of CLASSICA. Join our conversation on social media and stay in touch for all our latest news!

  • Technology

CLASSICA builds on breakthrough research in the AI analysis of fluorescence and perfusion in cancer tissues. The technology will differentiate between cancerous and non-cancerous tissues in real-time.
