Chinese Master is a useful tool with an intuitive interface that allows you to learn the Chinese language; from the basics to advanced concepts. Its content is divided into different levels.
The Basic level doesn't include lessons but will help you with the spelling and pronunciation of the initial and final sounds. You can choose a character and the program will playback the pronunciation automatically. One useful feature is that you can record your voice and compare it with the computer pronunciation. Besides, each sound includes examples to pronounce the sounds but requires the Adobe Flash Player to be installed and an Internet connection.

On the Elementary level, you can practice with flash cards of different shapes such as fruits, animals, transportation, etc. You can translate Chinese characters to English. It includes excellent lessons to learn how to write exact Chinese characters; allows you to practice with freehand style; and lets you work with the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK).

The advanced level includes common dialogs, lessons of real conversations; it has exercises of different topics, dictionary, and reading comprehension exercises.

The program also includes other resources but requires registration.

So with this program you can learn and practice the Chinese language from scratch but also you can use it to improve your level.
