Just realized I do not have any pictures of Arsenic on my computer
My friend Jenny took these pictures with her cell phone while at my house then emailed them to me
I guess she couldn't catch Arsenic?

She obviously loved Grimalkin, she took at least three times as many pictures of him :)

Perhaps she and I will have a truce, perhaps with some unease on my end of it, yet this way she and her babies do not have to die (she has hung a huge egg sack, the size of a gumball)

I just cannot kill her, because I look at her, I see not just a poisonous spider, but an ikotomi , a Grandmother to the Native Amercian Indian...

I know I know...if she bites me, it could be bad. Yet, my own great grandmother was bitten several times in her life, on her fingers, as she hunted for acorns fallen to the ground, by ones disturbed in the leaves.

She survived each of her numerous bites, left with only some fingertips that were permanently numb due to the toxin.

While she is here I will call her Hesperia. For her scientific "last" name Hesperus, which is probably from Hesper who is the Greek goddess of the evening star in Greek mythology.

I think the name suits her, because she is a beauty~~ glossy black, like a perfectly round drop of ebony.

Ahh chain maille, it's not just for Knights anymore!

I have had several pieces of chain maille jewelry in my life~~ I have always loaned them to friends, and sometimes have never gotten it back.

I once loaned a chain maille bracelet to a friend who wanted something pretty to wear for her first date with a guy. A few years later she sent me a copy of a family portrait they had done at Sears to show off the new baby. She was wearing that bracelet on the wrist she had wrapped around the baby LOL

The chain maille and seed pearl earrings I sat and watched the lady make, well I've had them since 2003. No one borrows those and no one loses an eye :P

I wore them today with my "Bet You Wish You Had Me Back" bracelet. It was a good shiny maille day!

One of my LJ Friends, allthingsshiny works in a county shelter in So California.
She has just made the dreaded announcement: "It's Kitten Season at the Shelter"

Hey, you, if you're in CA and you voted on Yes on Prop 8:

Perhaps you could explain to me exactly how does someone else's marriage affect yours?

How does any marriage based in love and honor, threaten you, your marriage, or your life?

Have you ever thought about it this way:: that young newlywed couple you pass on the street, or that old couple down the street from you, that has been married for 30 years...neither of them care about you, or your marriage. They don't even give you, or your marriage, a thought. Because, it's not their business to judge you, or your marriage!

You should be GLAD they don't. Otherwise they might take a long look at your marriage~~

And decide it should no longer be legal, that it's an offense to them, that your legal marriage should suddenly go from one day being legal, to the next being against the current laws...

Imagine that!!

Because you voted against the legality of one couple's marriage~~ what would you do if one day there was a group of people who were voting against whether or not your heterosexual marriage should be considered valid and legal.
