wg2
Culture, cognition and narratives of legitimization
Analysing different forms of deliberation in contemporary societies, including traditionally cultural-bound patterns of deliberation in the classic public spheres, in subaltern counter-publics, in the political, legal, and economic spheres, in art, civil society, in the digital sphere.
Sheding new light on how patterns of deliberation and notions of the common good are perpetuated and modified during political, cultural, social and other tensions within contemporary societies.
wg3
Past deliberative practices and contemporary risks
Harmonising a wider spectrum of research fields and disciplines essential for the analysis of “embedded” practices pf deliberation to discuss future development. Formulating a common research framework to study the impact of historical deliberative practices on contemporary decision-making.
