Programs

The CTL (Certificate in Teaching and Learning) Program is a structured professional development training program conducted by the Center of Excellence for Teaching and Learning (CETL) of Green University of Bangladesh. It is generally mandatory for newly recruited teachers or faculty members of the university. The primary objective of this program is to equip new educators with modern, effective, and student-centered teaching methodologies so that they can ensure a high-quality learning experience for students in higher education. Through the CTL program, participants gain a comprehensive understanding of outcome-based education (OBE), including how to design effective lesson plans, actively engage students in the classroom, and apply appropriate assessment and evaluation techniques to measure student performance.

In addition, the program places strong emphasis on technology-enhanced teaching practices. Participants develop skills in using Learning Management Systems (LMS), online platforms such as Zoom, and various digital presentation tools. Through micro-teaching sessions, they get the opportunity to practice real classroom teaching and improve their performance through constructive feedback. The program also covers essential areas such as classroom management, communication skills, presentation techniques, and understanding students’ psychological aspects.

Overall, the CTL program plays a significant role in developing new teachers into competent, confident, and modern educators, while also contributing to the overall improvement of the quality of education at the university.
