I just sent a birthday e-mail to jebbypal, thinking it was the 10th.

And it isn't, hahahaha. It's the 9th. Today.

I kept it in mind too, since my friend, The Brazilian (actually he is an Mac/Apple fan, so I will call him, Macboy) is leaving for 2 months for Brazil on the 10th.

I bought a dress, casual one at Forever21---SALE. Actually it wasn't my first choice, my original was a more flowy kind. Only Starbucks ended up choosing the same one and I decided to opt for another style in similar a violet color; since the one in the other style did not have my size in the green. (I don't do pink and they were out of teal.)

I just tried it on. And...huh. It's rather umm, clingy in certain areas(on the rear) and slightly low cut (but I can wear a cami with it).

I like it, yet....damn. Hmm.

It's funny, after the weight loss and...I am still not used to this body. It's odd.

I have to admit it, I look pretty damn good. With my tall boots, I kill. Or heels.

Fuck heels, though. :P

My external died on me. I had dropped it, pretty bad, the week before break. I ignored it, didn't touch, hoping it would still work.

And it does not. I tried everything when it became clear is was a goner.

I am in mourning, as it had all my files, some newer portfolio ones, and all my tv shows, spn, rescue me, etc, dexter and all my collection of programs and music. All which were time consuming to dl.

I even lost my fanvids, while not perfection, I was proud of them.

I finished my final for advanced rendering aka illustrator 2. Technically, my best illustration from all my projects this quarter. The one before it, was a mailer I threw together during in all nighter. Surprising though, they liked it, despite myself thinking what a mess it was. I had a jazz poster, which has to be tweaked, cause it came out too Hendrix instead of jazz. So it has to be reworked. I need to, since I need new material for my portfolio.

Which leaves my bookcover, so...here you go. It's been a long time since I posted art here. I think luridmuses's server is down, so the CSS is missing for my lj, but I shall be fixing that soon.

I did it on Dexter, well, the books the show was based off. Sorta of fandomy. For those who watch the show, you can see why I did the red lines (homage to the show) and how they are used to measure the blood patterns etc.




Starbucks helped me with the face, helping me find the shadows and highlights--so I redrew the shapes and blended it myself(as ethically I can never take credit for someone else's work).

It's the first illustration I used blends, I am trying to get the hang of them. Gradient mesh I love, but it's time consuming. And I need to learn to be fast in Illustrator just like in Photoshop.
