20. It’s International Customer Support Day. When was the last time you had to contact customer support? Were they able to help you? I contacted Amazon and as usual they were very helpful.
21. It’s International Tea Day – do you like a cup of tea every now and again? What type of tea do you drink? I usually drink Chamomile tea. It’s good for my IBS, calms my nerves and helps me get a few hours of sleep at night.
22. Today Vivid Sydney starts in Sydney, Australia (and continues until 13th June). Iconic landmarks and urban spaces glow with stunning light installations and 3D projections, captivating both locals and tourists with a vibrant playground of lights, music, and creativity. 23. When is the last time you ate fresh pineapple – did you prepare it yourself? It’s been so long, I don’t remember.
24. If you had a pet dog, what name would you give it? What’s the weirdest dog name you’ve heard? It would depend on the type of dog and their personality, so I’d need to meet them first before naming them. But if I’d randomly pick a few dog names, then I’d choose Bear or Luna. I also love the name I gave my childhood Cocker Spaniel… Thena. The weirdest name was the official name for my Yorkie from childhood… Wedgewood Fling!
25. It’s estimated that gaming now holds around an 11% share of the global entertainment market. Have you ever played an electronic game (on your phone, computer or a game console)? I play games on my phone all the time.
26. When you look up into the sky, can you identify any of the cloud formations, such as Cumulonimbus, Cirrus or Stratus?
Yes, though I usually think of them as plump lower clouds and thin upper clouds, lol.
27. Have you ever tried box breathing? It is an effective way to calm yourself if you are feeling panicky or overwhelmed. You can find the instructions on this page. https://www.calm.com/blog/box-breathing I have done breathing exercises before, but I haven’t tried box breathing.
28. Do you have a favourite cologne or perfume? I don’t wear perfume and I try to avoid being around anyone wearing a lot of it. It can give me a headache and I don’t like anything that smells artificial.
29. When was the last time it rained where you live? Today.
30. What is your favourite way to eat vegetables? I mostly eat them as purees because it’s easier for me to digest them.
31. Have you ever been in a self-driving car? Would you want to try it? No and no thanks! I don’t trust the technology.
JUNE 1. Is anything (minor or major) irritating you at the moment? AI videos that aren’t clearly marked that they’re fake.
2. Have you ever used a photobooth? Are they still around where you live (where’s the nearest one?) I used photobooths when I was younger. I haven’t seen one in ages.
3. Do you still pay for things with cash? Have you been somewhere recently where they don’t take cash anymore? I occasionally pay for things in cash, if it’s small amount. Also, we have a tiny store in my building that’s open a few times a week, and they only take cash.

8. Henry Dunant was born today in 1828 – he was the co-founder of the Red Cross. Have you ever learned first aid? Could you resuscitate someone? I've never learned first aid, but I think it's a good thing to know.
9. In 1896, the first horseless carriage show in London featured ten models. Do you own a car? What kind of car is it? I don't drive.
10. Are there some colours you would never wear or use in your home? Any color that's too bright. I mean, I like some vibrancy, but some colors literally hurt my eyes.

12. It’s the International Day of Plant Health! Healthy plants mean a healthy planet! Have you ever planted something and watched it grow? Do you look after your houseplants or your garden plants diligently? I've always loved having indoor and outdoor plants. I don't have a balcony or anywhere to do outside gardening anymore, but I still have some lovely houseplants.

17. It’s World Telecommunications Day – have you ever learned something new online? I learn new things in relation to my hobbies (coloring, crochet).

When I was shopping at Ace Hardware yesterday, I noticed that they had a coloring table for kids in their toy section. It's such a great idea, I wish more stores did this. :)

3. Have you ever traced any of your family tree? No, but it sounds like an interesting thing to do.
4. Today is a holiday in many countries, either to celebrate Labour Day or May Day. If you have a day off today, what are your plans? No plans.
5. Do you like rhubarb? I’ve had stewed rhubarb and rhubarb pie and liked it.
6. Have you ever completed a cryptic crossword, or do you stick to the easy ones? The easy ones are hard enough, lol.

We have some baby chicks here! There's an incubator set up in a corner of the community living room and an enclosure in the activity room. 3 chicks have hatched so far (one of them in the pictures, the rest were hiding out). They make such wonderful peeping sounds and they're so cute. :D

26. Do you still have a landline, or do you only use your mobile phone/cellphone? I only have an iphone.
27. What sweets/candies do you remember from your childhood? When was the last time you ate some? Lots of chocolate (plain, with nuts, peanut butter cups, M&M’s, milk duds,malted milk balls etc, etc), fruit leather, lolly pops, candy necklaces, candy fruit slices, jelly beans, taffy. I also loved ice cream. I don't eat sweets anymore.

9. It’s National Garlic Month – are you a fan? If so, what’s your favourite recipe using garlic? I like garlic, but I haven't eaten it in a long time.
10. Do you often see wild birds in your backyard/garden/nearby open spaces? What are the most common ones you see in your area? Now that it's spring, I see birds quite often. I hear their bird calls starting very early in the morning. The most common ones in this area are robins, crows, starlings, pigeons, stellar jays, finches, wrens and hummingbirds. I'm sure there's more, I don't know all the names.
11. Have you ever flown a kite? As a kid I'd fly small kites.
12. What’s your favourite breed of dog? It's hard to choose, there's so many wonderful breeds. Mixed breed dogs are also awesome. I had a cocker spaniel back when I was a teen, so I'm especially fond of them. I've posted these pictures of her before, but I'd like to share them again. She was very sweet, friendly and playful. :)
13. Have you ever volunteered to do something long-term? For awhile I volunteered to spend time every Tuesday with a senior who was dealing with depression. We would play a game or two of Scrabble and then we'd hang out afterwards and talk.

6. Is there a fashion or style from your youth that you wish would come back, or are you happy with how people dress these days? I mostly see people dressing casually and that works to me. I like hippie fashion, I wouldn't mind seeing more of that. Or anything vintage. :)
