It was like using mom's old Brownie, no screen no flash. and could only delete last picture or all.

It seems that grandma did not keep any paintings of Motif Number 1
and i have not copied any pages from her remaining sketch books

Just under the wire for no activity in a year.

Today I saw an add with art work only id'd as new england  and ford in

It looks to me as if the man is taking a photo of Motif  number 1 in
Rockport, Massachusetts.  .

I last took a photo of the red shack on Bearskin Neck in 2001 when in the area for a family internment.

Check out Rockport   http://www.rockportusa.com/

I will look for some of my photos.

My Barnabas ancestor
carrie55reader
My Barnabas ancestor had a brother. The brother's descendents include the Osmonds.  Donald Clark ("DONNIE") OSMOND  and .Olive MARIE OSMOND who were born a year before and after my kid sister. Donnie and Marie are 13 generations removed from our common ancestor; as are my under 21 year old neice and nephew.   My nephew waited until his sister was out of high school to sing and dance in Guys and Dolls - or maybe it was a matter of more roles for boys. My neice is still acting and singing at her college.  (Starmalachite - way beyond our college class productions).

The music tag was going to be Dark Shadows theme. then Luck Be a Lady from Guys and Dolls. But I saw the Movie of Les Miserables last week (wearing my London Les Miz sweatshirt) so anything from the musical..And  as ever since seeing the show at in London once I hear one song from the show they all play a medley in my head. (Some times even hearing a Phantom song will start a Les Miz medley because I saw both for the first time in London. (Starmalachite was the first person to mention Les Miz to me)

Also see  Les Miserables, 2 nbsp; for interesting comment on the ending of the movie.

I just saw that the aircraft carrier Enterprise will be decommisioned.
How long before there is another Enterprise.

also thinking of a friend who had 1701 as the four digit part of her phone number.

Happy Birth-Versary

For over a week I've been trying to turn my younger sister into a 55 year old. Even after figuring out it won't happen until next year, I was still hooked on 55.

I bought a Hallmark card for a friend whose birthday I knew was coming up at the end of June. I might have searched my pocketbook for a scrap of paper with her address on it if I had had any stamps with me.

Today being Sunday no Post Office service so I put E-mailing another friend {#2} about things I forgot to mention when we had dinner two nights ago on top of to do list. Then I was going to drive a half an hour to the B&N where she's working this afternoon and buy a DVD of the 25th Anniversary PotO Concert that was ordered for me.  This would allow me to see her again, get the DVD, and make best use my time for the next week.

However once I got online I checked  friend #1  LJ and found  Its her birthday - - - -

Interruption  by phone call  from B&N -  3rd message that my DVD is in.
Took a few minutes to chat with my friend {#2 above} and make another
cup of coffee and see I still had 1/3 of my breakfast to eat. - - --

and she is 55 today.  It's also her Fifth Wedding Anniversary.

Happy Birthday to starmalachite  http://starmalachite.livejournal.com/ .
Happy Anniversary to starmalachite and stevemb

I don't have any icons to WOW you with, just Mountain  from VT. (but have liked a lot of yours Star)

I will be mailing the card to the another word for porch address that I have.

Once got online spent time with Vintage Adds and death of Ray Bradbury, which I had missed, that there is now no time to go to DE and get the DVD before my friend leaves the store.

C oops S,  one of my grandparents is buried in same cemetery as Lloyd Alexander.

Coffee spillage, not yet on laptop, but on parent's side table from early 1950s. I seem to have the corner pretty well proctected now from minor The-Mug-Is-Fuller-Than-I-Thought-Slops-Over-The-Top spills.

I'm still new to LJ so after posting this checked my  LJ email and found a reminder for my birthday and starmalachites.  Check e-mails more often.

Dark Shadows
carrie55reader
I still have not decided if I want to see Depp as Barnabas Collins.

However I just found I have an ancestor Barnabas who came from England and has a very sturdy looking stone coffin. If I am counting correctly there are 12 generations between us.

And an g something uncle Barnabus who died young in 1794.

Hi!
For those of you who, like myself, have been in fandom a long time, will possibly remember the
an songs that came out on either albums or cassette tapes.  During the numerous moves over the years, I have lost mine.
Does anyone have some of these or know how I can obtain them?  I still remember the names, and lyrics to several.

One of the tapes was titled: "The Colors of Love";  Some of the song titles were:  "T'hy'la", "I'Chiya";  "Companion" - based on a series of K/S zines by the same title, I believe.  On another tape -forgive me I can't remember the same of, there are some songs titled:  "Silver Lady" (concerning Kirk's feelings on being prompted to Admiral which took him away from the Enterprise), "Please Explain", etcera.

Also looking for songs by Cindy McQuillian (is that correct?)

Thanks

Stationary Up-date
carrie55reader
I am closer to finding the box with the letter paper I packed away after College. However the friend I want to write to could use a card. I saw one at work the other day and I want to see if I can track it down tomorrow. I have written down what I think is her house address, which I want to use because it amuses me to use the same town name to and from 2 different states. I hope to get it in the mail tomorrow after work because I have a uneven work schedule this week.
