For information on how to apply for a passport, please use the passport navigator. The navigator will ask you a series of simple questions and help you make an appointment at that location or provide you with instructions to send a mail-in renewal application if you are eligible. You may bring someone else with you to your appointment (examples: an interpreter, a family member). The individual will be subject to standard security procedures and screening.

You must provide one photo with your passport application. All our photo policies apply to both adults and children under age 16. We have a few exceptions to our photo policies for infants.
Diplomatic, Official, and Service Passports are processed by the Special Issuance Agency (SIA) in Washington, DC. Please visit their website for detailed instructions. (Note: this link is only accessible from a U.S. government device). Passport services are arranged by your Military Passport Agent.

The Embassy/Consulates do NOT store prohibited items for applicants. There is no facility at the Embassy/Consulates to store such items, so you must make arrangements to store these items elsewhere before you enter. If you arrive with a prohibited item, you will be turned away and asked to make a new appointment.
If you need reasonable accommodation for your appointment, we encourage you to request your accommodation immediately once you schedule your appointment. We make every effort to provide accommodations to persons with disabilities and medical conditions. Reasonable accommodations vary, depending on the situation and the person’s needs.
