Free Verse, Poetry by Sarah

Vicinity

In the quiet space between us,
heat lingers; heavy and elusive, like a whispered secret.

Bodies draw closer,
no words needed.
The air, thick with promises that can never be made.
Just the pulse of proximity;
a raw magnetism that hums.

Beckoning,
until restraint crumbles
beneath the weight of desire.
