After the positive responses to my A-Z Challenges in 2023 and 2024, and a hiatus in 2025, I am excited to be completing the “trifecta.”
I started on the ground with Found on the Ground, which paved my way to In the Corner, that then drew my eyes upward to conclude this series with…
“Over My Head”
There are moments when everything feels over our heads; when thoughts, expectations, and emotions stack higher than we can reach, leaving us unsure of where to stand or what to hold onto. It’s in these spaces of overwhelm that we often feel the urge to make sense of things, to fill the gaps, to bring order to what feels too big to manage. To look up and find some answers!
This year’s A-Z isn’t just about meaning or appearances; it’s about exploring what exists within that feeling, what hides in the chaos, what lingers in the uncertainty, and what unexpected details emerge when we look up instead of looking away. Sometimes, being overwhelmed reveals things we wouldn’t have noticed otherwise.
Primarily, this will take shape through photography, capturing moments that reflect that sense of being “over my head.” Along the way, I may also include short pieces of writing, stories or poems that come from those same moments, when an image or feeling demands more than just a frame.
Because maybe being “over my head” isn’t only about being lost, it’s about learning how to navigate what feels bigger than us, and finding something meaningful within it.
As Stephen Hawking said, “Remember to look up at the stars”
Stay tuned for my first post, coming April 1… I look forward to hearing from you as I embark on this A-Z journey, and likewise, am excited to check out other participating blogs.
