About the challenge
BuzzHacks is an inititiative launched by IOE, Thapathali Campus and NSU, Thapathali to provide a platform to come up together and build something that makes a positive impact in the society. With this aim, we have decided to make the theme for this year hackathon as Tourism.
The participants are envouraged to use their creativity to come up with a project that aims to help uplift the tourism industry of Nepal. So, think from different aspects and come up with exiciting project ideas that could be next potential big thing in tourism industry of Nepal. The best part is you will be getting an awesome chance to meet the fellow hackers from different coreners of Nepal, be menotred by top techminds of Nepal, and take home an innovative project plus exciting gifts with you.
Get started
Begin by completing the registration process on Devpost before 14th June 2024. Next, proceed with the registration itself. Most of the questions asked are fundamental in order for the organizers to familiarize themselves with you. Remember that registration is only possible as a team, so ensure that you have a team consisting of 3-5 members. Once the registration is complete, you will receive emails containing updates about the program.

Prizes
Best Project of BuzzHacks 2024
Projects will undergo assessment according to the criteria set by the organizers and will be reviewed by the panel of judges in order to determine the top project. The prize includes a cash award of NPR 50,000 and gift packages from the organizers. Please be advised that the payment will be disbursed within 10-15 working days following the announcement of the winner.
First RunnerUp of BuzzHacks 2024
Projects will undergo assessment according to the criteria set by the organizers and will be reviewed by the panel of judges in order to determine the top project. The prize includes a cash award of NPR 25,000 and gift packages from the organizers. Please be advised that the payment will be disbursed within 10-15 working days following the announcement of the winner.
Second RunnerUp of BuzzHacks 2024
Projects will undergo assessment according to the criteria set by the organizers and will be reviewed by the panel of judges in order to determine the top project. The prize includes a cash award of NPR 12,500 and gift packages worth NPR. 2,500 from the organizers. Please be advised that the payment will be disbursed within 10-15 working days following the announcement of the winner.
Innovative Concept Award
Our team admires innovative solutions to challenges, and to recognize those solutions, the judges and organizers will select the best project in terms of innovation. The team will receive exciting gift hampers valued at NPR 10,000.
NewComer's Triumph Award
Participating in a hackathon is no easy feat; it requires sacrificing sleep, enduring continuous pressure, and can be overwhelming, especially for first-time participants. To motivate teams, one of the first-time hackathon participating team will be winning exciting gifting hampers from organizers worth NPR. 10,000.
Please note that to be eligible for the price, BuzzHacks 2024 should be first hackathon for all of the team members and team with best project out of those eligible projects will win the title.
