More Fake News: Refugee TB cases three times greater than media reported

Why this story today? More for the point that we have been getting more fake news than we could possibly imagine. And this one could impact our health. We find out now that many States are not reporting or have under reported the number of TB cases in each State. Keep in mind, the TB of today is not your Grandparents TB. Many cases are extremely difficult to treat and have morphed into a virulent form. So put this one down as “Now you know.” Meanwhile, Obama rushes more refugees down our gullet before he departs.

Between 2012 and 2015, 1,565 refugees were diagnosed with active tuberculosis (TB) tbin the United States, according to annual reports published by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

The CDC data, which has been public but obscure until now, shows that the number of refugees diagnosed with active TB in recent years is more than three times greater than previously reported by any media outlet.

Example:

Georgia, for instance, is the most surprising untold story. During the four years between 2012 and 2015, 96 cases of active TB were diagnosed among refugees in the Peach State. On a per capita basis, Georgia has one of the highest instances of refugee TB of any state in the country. Yet nowhere has this important story been reported.

The number of refugees diagnosed with TB in the United States has increased every year since 2012, the first year the CDC began publishing data on foreign-born cases of the disease by category, when 358 were diagnosed. In 2013, 396 refugees were diagnosed with TB. The following year, 2014, 402 refugees were diagnosed with TB, and in 2015, the number of refugees diagnosed with TB rose again to 409. Data for 2016 has not yet been reported.

Recall quarantined TB Patient in 2007? TB rampant in ‘refugee children’

Am I the only one who recalls the white knuckle story back in 2007 when a man from Atlanta with drug-resistant TB flew to Europe to be married? Everyone was sweating bullets that the contagion would spread into our country when he came back. Now we hear that there are confirmed cases brought in by the so-called “Refugee children” with this virulent form. Fox reported that it will cost up to $300,000 to treat each case of the resistant type. Where is the worry and concern? Is that why no one is allowed to visit the centers? First a memory from 2007.

DENVER — While authorities try to determine how an Atlanta lawyer was able to avoid detection while traveling to Europe with a highly drug-resistant form of tuberculosis, the man apologized to his fellow plane passengers in an interview broadcast Friday. Speaker is expected to remain in the hospital in isolation and taking multiple antibiotics for two to six months, at a cost of up to $350,000.

Speaker said he, his doctors and the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention all knew he had TB before he flew to Europe for his wedding and honeymoon last month. But he said he was advised that he wasn’t contagious or a danger to anyone. Officials said they would rather he didn’t fly but no one  ordered him not to, he said. Report: Illegal Immigrant Children Have Lice So Bad ‘They Can Be Seen Crawling Down’ Their Faces (Video)

Todd Starnes told Sean Hannity on FOX News tonight that the illegal immigrant children held at Lackland Air Force base in Oklahoma are bringing diseases into America. The children have tuberculosis, scabies and lice so bad you can see them running down their faces.

“It’s one giant emergency room. They tell me tuberculosis has become a very dangerous issue there. Nurses say the number of children representing symptoms of tuberculosis is ‘simply staggering.’ Spitting up blood, chest pains, constant coughing. There are at least three confirmed cases for the illegals in Austin, Texas… The federal government is covering up the threat of the health crisis. They say the kids have scabies. They also say they have chicken pox. And lice so severe they can be seen crawling down the faces of the children.“
