Blame the government not PG&E Utility for CA fires and power blackouts

As millions of Californians are plunged into the dark ages is there anything that can be learned from this experience? Let’s take a look.

Now the media theme of the problem goes like this:

Millions of Californians may have just suffered an unprecedented, induced blackout by the state’s largest (and bankrupt) utility, PG&E, just so it isn’t blamed for starting even more fires causing it to go even more bankrupt.

But there is much more to blame than the utility company. Hint: Could it be the government?

Oh by the way, keep in mind all those wonderful solar panels don’t mean anything. Almost all are piped back into the utility system. Thus not one bit of help.

CA fires of hell, thank the environmentalists

Obama-Era Eco-Terrorism through Environmental Regulations

These Obama-era regulations introduced excessive layers of bureaucracy that blocked proper forest management and increased environmentalist litigation and costs — a result of far too many radical environmentalists, bureaucrats, Leftist politicians and judicial activists who would rather let forests burn than let anyone thin out overgrown trees or let professional loggers harvest usable timber left from beetle infestation, or selectively cut timber.

In a 2016 Townhall column, Paul Driessen explains:

Eco-purists want no cutting, no thinning – no using fire retardants in “sensitive” areas because the chemicals might get into streams that will be boiled away by conflagrations. They prevent homeowners from clearing brush around their homes, because it might provide cover or habitat for endangered species and other critters that will get incinerated or lose their forage, prey and habitats in the next blaze. They rarely alter their policies during drought years.

The resulting fires are not the “forest-rejuvenating” blazes of environmentalist lore. They are cauldron-hot conflagrations that exterminate wildlife habitats, roast bald eagle and spotted owl fledglings alive in their nests, boil away trout and trout streams, leave surviving animals to starve, and incinerate every living organism in already thin soils … that then get washed away during future downpours and snow melts. Areas incinerated by such fires don’t recover their arboreal biodiversity for decades.

CA Fires of Hell – Thank Moonbeam Brown for Cutting Forest Management Budget

In September 2016, Governor Brown vetoed SB 1463, a bill in the California legislature which would have required the California Public Utilities Commission to prioritize areas at increased risk from overhead wires in their management of wildfires.

Then we had Brown slashing the forest management budget. Good move moonbeam.

Also note the infamous Delta Smelt budget was not cut… this endangered specie causing the water shutdown thus causing the drought in the lush farmland of  Central California.

And the coup de grâce of California at its finest?

More than 2 million people are being plunged into darkness as part of an unprecedented, orchestrated blackout across Northern California. But good luck finding out whether you’re one of them. Bloomberg’s Lynn Doan reports on “Bloomberg Markets.”

Other than that all is well in the swamp. For the best in conservative news and so much better than Drudge click below:

Federal Forest Service to charge $1500.00 for permits to take a photo on Federal land

Anyone out there who doesn’t think that each and every one of our rights are not under attack? We have another two years of this clown in the White House. We know what the IRS has done. Now the Forest Service. You think totalitarian regimes are bad? We are headed that way. Comments to the Feds will be accepted until November 3, 2014

“The Forest Service needs to rethink any policy that subjects noncommercial photographs and recordings to a burdensome permitting process for something as simple as taking a picture with a cell phone,” U.S. Sen Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) told the Oregonian. “Especially where reporters and bloggers are concerned, this policy raises troubling questions about inappropriate government limits on activity clearly protected by the First Amendment.”The U.S. Forest Service is finalizing plans to fine photographers who shoot on federal wild lands without a permit.

First Amendment advocates say the rules ignore press freedoms and are so vague they’d allow the Forest Service to grant permits only to favored reporters shooting videos for positive stories.

“It’s pretty clearly unconstitutional,” said Gregg Leslie, legal defense director at the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press in Alexandria, Va. “They would have to show an important need to justify these limits, and they just can’t.”

Under the measure, still photography and commercial filming in Congress-designated wilderness areas would require a permit, and shoots would also have to be approved and meet certain criteria like not advertising any product or service and being educational.

Permits would cost up to $1,500, even if someone was taking photos or video with their phone, and fines for shooting without a permit could be as high as $1,000, according to the Oregonian. A spokesman for the Forest Service did not immediately return a request for comment.

A comment:

Government loves our money so dearly.

Just think, the GENERAL COUNCIL signed off on this, just like the GENERAL COUNCIL signed off on highway seizure of cash assets — CAUSE THE COP WANTS TO. Attorneys RULE.

Lady Justice is at the 19th hole where she was peeled, cored and discovered for all possible assets.

Cass Sunstein replaced by Soros’s Soviet born Boris Bershteyn

As we bid adieu to Cass Sunstein, perhaps one of the most dangerous people Obama installed in his administration, I wondered who could be as malevolent as he. When I heard the name Boris Bershteyn, I thought now that sounds like an American name. But of course, another radical that Soros’s brother supported. So the march continues. Not much out there on him, but enough.

Boris Bershteyn, the budget office’s general counsel, will replace Sunstein as acting director. Bershteyn is a natural choice. He was born in the Soviet Union, earned his law degree at Yale, and was selected as a 2001 “fellow” by the Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans. Paul Soros is the elder brother of the notorious globalist and darling of the financial class, George Soros.

Boris Bershteyn

Between his tours at OMB, he served as Special Assistant to the President and Associate White House Counsel, with responsibility for legal issues in regulatory, economic, health, and environmental policy.ACUS Gov

Here is a bit of a reminder of this Cass Sunstein and his intentions:

A legislative effort to regulate broadcasting in the interest of democratic principles should not be seen as an abridgment of the free speech guarantee.

Cass Sunstein behind monitoring of websites

Just prior to his appointment as President Obama’s so-called regulatory czar, Cass Sunstein wrote a lengthy academic paper suggesting the government should “infiltrate” social network websites, chat rooms and message boards.

Such “cognitive infiltration,” Sunstein argued, should be used to enforce a U.S. government ban on “conspiracy theorizing.”

Among the beliefs Sunstein classified as a “conspiracy theory” is advocating that the theory of global warming is a deliberate fraud.

While the DHS may be monitoring websites for security reasons, Sunstein advocated such actions with another goal in mind.

Sunstein’s official title is administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs.

As WND was first to report, in a 2008 Harvard law paper, “Conspiracy Theories,” Sunstein and co-author Adrian Vermeule, a Harvard law professor, ask, “What can government do about conspiracy theories?”

“We can readily imagine a series of possible responses. (1) Government might ban conspiracy theorizing. (2) Government might impose some kind of tax, financial or otherwise, on those who disseminate such theories.”
