The Strange Background of the Fed Reserve Governor Lisa Cook Accused of Mortgage Fraud

Trump Federal Housing Director Bill Pulte issues bombshell revelation that Biden-appointed Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook likely committed MORTGAGE FRAUD. “[Jerome] Powell must look into it or he is complicit.” “Ms. Cook: why did you designate your Atlanta Condo as your primary residence two weeks after declaring your Michigan home as your primary residence?” Another mortgage fraud investigation may be opened. Wow.

Well what another surprise. Why do you need to study in Senegal? Call for Reparations for Blacks?

Cook earned a BA in Physics and Philosophy, magna cum laude, from Spelman College in 1986 and was named a Harry S. Truman Scholar. She became Spelman’s first Marshall Scholar and went on to read Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) at St Hilda’s College, Oxford, completing her second BA in 1988. She also took postgraduate courses in philosophy at Cheikh Anta Diop University. She took courses towards a master’s degree in philosophy at Cheikh Anta Diop University in Senegal. Cook earned a PhD in economics from the University of California, Berkeley in 1997 under the guidance of Barry Eichengreen and David Romer.[12] Her dissertation focused on the underdevelopment of the banking system in czarist and post-Soviet Russia.[9][12]

Source: Times of India.

An authority on international economics, especially the Russian economy, she has been involved in advising policymakers from the Obama Administration to the Nigerian and Rwandan governments. Her research is at the intersection of macroeconomics and economic history, with recent work in African-American history and innovation economics.[3][4] Cook is regarded as one of the few prominent black female economists and has attracted attention within academia for her efforts in mentoring black women and advocating for their inclusion in the field of economics.[5]

Cook herself now speaks five languages: English, French, Russian, Spanish and Wolof, a Niger–Congo language spoken in a subregion of West Africa.

Lisa Cook was inspired to study economics by Dr. Sadie Tanner Mossell Alexander, the first African American to earn a Ph.D. in economics in the United States. Cook’s research focuses on African American history and innovation economics. Her research suggests that violence against African-Americans under the Jim Crow laws led to a lower-than-expected number of patents filed. Cook has collaborated with other economists to collate a database on lynching in the United States.

On May 10, 2022, the Senate confirmed Cook’s nomination by a 51-50 vote, with Vice President Kamala Harris casting the tiebreaking vote. Cook was sworn in as a member of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in May 2022, making her the first Black woman on the Federal Reserve’s board.

Cook supports reparations to compensate for Black Americans for being subjected to slavery and discrimination.

India’s New Government MP’s Almost Half Have Criminal Cases Pending Against Them

The Constitution of India allows for a maximum of 550 members in the House, with 530 members representing the States and 20 representing the Union Territories. At present, the Lok Sabha has 543 seats filled by elected representatives.

It’s very difficult to find someone without criminal background in India we find out. Makes our Congress appear as old pikers…though perhaps if we looked closely. Democracy in India comes with some surprises.

The video below fills in what is happening to Modi and his government. Modi up until now pretty much has had his way.

India’s new parliament, the Lok Sabha, convened on June 24 for its first session after a mammoth general election that lasted seven weeks. PM Narendra Modi, who has been in power since 2014, the election with his Hindu nationalist BJP lost the absolute majority. The BJP remains the strongest force, but Modi is in his third term of office, scheduled to last five years partners.

Biden Outrages India With attack Over Their Exclusion of Muslims Fast Tracked to Citizenship

India’s Citizen Amendment Act provides a faster pathway for citizenship for religious groups other than Muslims. Biden and his crew express outrage and India responds in kind to our meddling in India’s business. Why tick off India? We need them in our camp.

Prime Minister Modi was just here in July I would hope courting him.

The State Department:

“We are closely monitoring them.” Then what? Talking to them like children?

Of all countries in the East, India is the one we should be courting favor. Stuck with China and Russia as close neighbors, the last thing we want to do is force, out of anger, India concluding arrangements detrimental to the U.S.

Enter the Citizen Amendment Act (CAA)

The move has reignited the debate about the objective of the Act itself. Passed in 2019, the CAA was criticised by jurists and others for being discriminatory against certain communities, mainly Muslims. The Act claims to provide a faster pathway to Indian citizenship for Hindus, Sikhs, Christians, Jains, Buddhists and other minorities who have come to India illegally from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. The absence of Muslims in this list has been causing outrage and communal tensions since the conception of the Act. (Source)

So here we go-

After about one minute the translation stops….no further english.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has hit back at U.S. Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti, for criticising the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Garcetti had said one can’t give up on principles “no matter how close you are as friends”.

In response, Jaishankar said, “I have principles too, and one of them is obligation to people who were let down at the time of Partition,” Jaishankar said at the India Today Conclave. The Foreign Minister also highlighted how U.S. & Europe too implemented religion-based citizenship laws in the past.

India has strongly rejected the U.S.’ remarks on the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act. The Ministry of External Affairs labelled the comments “misplaced, misinformed and unwarranted”. MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal asserted that the act is the country’s internal matter. India’s response comes after the U.S. linked the implementation of CAA in India to “religious freedom”.

Of course, this was all about courting our Muslim voters don’t you think?

March 18, 2024. Senator Ben Cardin – Time for these old fools to retire.

US Senator expresses concern over notification of CAA rules

Last week, the US State Department had expressed concern over the notifying of the CAA and said that respect for religious freedom and equal treatment under the law for all communities are fundamental democratic principles.

The New Indian Press

WASHINGTON: An American senator has expressed concern over the Indian government notifying rules for the implementation of the CAA, saying that as the US-India relationship deepens, it is important that the cooperation is based on shared values of protecting human rights of all, regardless of religion.

The Indian government implemented the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 last week, paving the way for the grant of citizenship to undocumented non-Muslim migrants from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan who came to India before December 31, 2014.

The government also came out with a press statement to say that Indian Muslims need not worry as the CAA will not impact their citizenship and has nothing to do with the community which enjoys equal rights as Hindus.

“I am deeply concerned by the Indian government’s decision to notify its controversial Citizenship Amendment Act, particularly the law’s potential ramifications on India’s Muslim community. Making matters worse is the fact that it is being pushed during the holy month of Ramadan,” Senator Ben Cardin, chairman of the powerful Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said in a statement.

Bonus: The MEA declined to comment on the remarks by the U.S. Senator, who most recently was in the news for placing a temporary hold on a US Congress notification for the sale of 31 MQ-9B armed drones to India, over the issue of the alleged plot to assassinate Sikh separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. Mr. Cardin removed his hold only after he said he received assurances that the US government would ensure a thorough investigation and full cooperation from New Delhi into allegations that a senior Indian official had overseen a plan to hire a hitman to kill Mr. Pannun.

Next time India will buy them from somewhere else. Keep your nose out of all of it.

I see after I put this post together, Congress members are chiming in as well.

Back to Chinese Checkers

Back to Chinese Checkers

by Mustang

A few interesting developments among the so-called China watchers.  There is nothing for you to do about this, of course, but I thought it would provide at least some amusement.  So, there is this fellow named Sandeep Dhawan who writes advice to the US State Department suggesting what they ought to do about China.  I’m sure the State Department appreciates this advice — the Lord knows if anyone needed advice, it’s the US State Department.  Sandeep’s bona fides include the fact that he’s a former commander in the Indian navy.  I found this curious, so I did a few minutes of G-searching and could not find one single incident where the Indian Navy ever distinguished itself in a combat role at sea.  Well, it may not matter.

Russia India and ChinaMeeting between leaders of Russia, India and China • President of Russia

Sandeep is concerned because, as the United States withdraws from its foreign outposts, China is moving in to “fill up the vacuum.”  Moreover, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s latest visit to the Middle East seems to indicate (to Sandeep) that China is definitely “moving in.”  Now, maybe it’s just me, but … so what?  Yi’s vow to “work with Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iran, UAE, Bahrain, and Oman to “help protect their core interests against foreign interference” doesn’t bother me in the least.  More to the point, if Iran invaded Saudi Arabia tonight at midnight, I couldn’t care less.  Remember, I have long advocated that the solution to the petty tyrants in the Middle East is to convince the Saudis that the Iranians are good to eat.  Sorry, my friends, but I don’t care if China spends all of its silver taels on Algeria, Egypt, Palestine, Eritrea, or on Huey, Dewey, and Louie.  In fact, I think China should spend all their money in the Middle East.  We American taxpayers need a break.

Note:  I wonder if China realizes that all those countries hate each other almost as much as they hate us?

What does concern me, however, is that given America’s hunger for Chinese-made plastic bowls, it will be OUR spending at Wal-Mart that will actually fund China’s mischief in the Middle East.  Painfully, we all know that the average female shopper at Wal-Mart would trade in her first born son for a set of eight plastic storage bowls if they come in multiple colors.  Yeah, patriotism is important, so long as it doesn’t interfere in plastic storage ware.

Meanwhile, Russia’s Putin and China’s Xi are forming a mutual support arrangement.  They didn’t do this when Trump was president, of course … they know what a war hungry maniac Trump was.  But now that Joe Biden’s in the White House … well, off come the gloves.  Truly, this IS the danger of electing a nitwit to the presidency, and a former prostitute as his Vice … do you think anyone in the old country will respect America’s leadership, or will they take advantage of the opportunities handed to them by the American voter?

Note:  I don’t know for a fact that Kamala Harris ever was a prostitute, but that’s what Peter, who comments here, said — and it may all boil down to how one defines prostitution, but for the record I trust Peter, and this should go a long way toward reducing what I owe him.

But let’s be optimistic … even assuming that China and Russia “divide the world” among them, so what?  At some point in the future, the American dim-bulbs who voted for Biden will be called away and we’ll end up with a president with cajones.  After this new president nukes everyone one who is friends with China or Russia, the world will belong to us.  Then we can start fighting among ourselves, which is what we like to do almost better than anything (except Wal-Mart shopping).

Hillary Clinton’s India debacle cost the U.S taxpayers bucks

Considering how much stash the Clintons have snarfed up at the government trough, enough is never enough. So of course, guess how much we have coughed up for her India debacle? One can bet this was just a small portion of the total amount we got stuck with. Here we go:

Clinton’s trip is costing the taxpayers as well. According to the Washington Free Beacon, Clinton’s travel will cost the taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars.

Hillary Clinton’s private passage to India is costing American taxpayers at least $22,000, according to publicly disclosed federal contract information. Clinton is in India as a private citizen. But as a former First Lady she is given U.S. Secret Service protection for life, and the State Department awarded two contracts worth $16,143 and $6,301 for her security detail’s travel and lodging on the trip.

[…]

Both contracts are for “logistic services for USSS to support FFLOTUS visit” and say they are for “travel/lodging.”

It is unclear whether the two contracts account for all of the government spending related to Clinton’s India trip.

Two other contracts, one worth $21,093 and another worth $23,690, were awarded by the American Consulate in Mumbai for March hotel reservations for Secret Service agents in Mumbai and Maheshwar, another town Clinton visited on her trip.

Hillary Clinton’s Magical Mystery Tour of India – Part II, What you may have missed

By now you no doubt have seen the clips of Hillary toppling down the stairs in India and probably the clip where she calls us “backwards.” In case you missed those: Hillary twice nearly falls on her rump after dissing Red State America

But this was a long interview and there were other splash hits of hers that are not getting the attention they deserve. So I am giving you two “extras.” If I find more clips I will add them. Until then, a post over at the Federalist covers the ground that gives the full details of the happening. Link at the bottom of the post:

During an event in Mumbai, India with Bollywood stars, Hillary Clinton was reportedly introduced as the “woman who should have been the president of the United States of America” and she told those gathered that America “did not deserve” President Trump.

She was asked if America deserved Trump after the event’s host remarked “it’s commonly said that countries deserve the governments they get.”

“Well, I would have to say no, we did not deserve that,” Clinton replied.

‘Backwards’: Hillary Clinton Apparently Still Has No Clue Why She Lost

Her condescending words targeted voters in states that twice voted for Obama, and show she still doesn’t understand why Americans didn’t vote for her at  The Federalist :
Clinton compared herself to the mother of the country, trying to enforce something wholesome that the children aren’t fond of. She said, “She ran the presidential campaign like a mother who was telling the kids to eat spinach because it was good for health while the other guy was asking them to go eat fast food and have ice-cream,” India Today reported. Clinton may not have realized it, but this also sheds a lot of light on how she sees the average American. She views them as short-sighted, more interested in junk than substance, and in her words, they’re “backwards.”

I am posting this just for good fun after she smacked around Red State Americans and the USA in India.

Bet this gets a lot more hits then the hours I spent on yesterday’s post.

Obama Justice Department Shuts Down Gibson Guitar For Breaking Indian Law

The Dictator ship begins.  No U.S. Law Broken. No Charges filed. Want to bet the International Court next? This will be the test case. This was Eric at his best. Do  not count on our supreme court.

“The Federal Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. has suggested that the use of wood from India that is not finished by Indian workers is illegal, not because of U.S. law, but because it is the Justice Department’s interpretation of a law in India. (If the same wood from the same tree was finished by Indian workers, the material would be legal.) This action was taken without the support and consent of the government in India.”

It’s an Obama world…
The Holder Justice Department raided Gibson Guitar facilities in Nashville and Memphis this week because the company is using unfinished wood from India and this violates Indian law… Not American law.
Unreal. Video Here: Gateway Pundit

The Gibson Guitar CEO responded to the unjust raids today:

Henry Juszkiewicz, Chairman and CEO of Gibson Guitar Corp., has responded to the August 24 raid of Gibson facilities in Nashville and Memphis by the Federal Government. In a press release, Juszkiewicz said: “Gibson is innocent and will fight to protect its rights. Gibson has complied with foreign laws and believes it is innocent of ANY wrong doing. We will fight aggressively to prove our innocence.”

The raids forced Gibson to cease manufacturing operations and send workers home for the day while armed agents executed the search warrants. “Agents seized wood that was Forest Stewardship Council controlled,” Juszkiewicz said. “Gibson has a long history of supporting sustainable and responsible sources of wood and has worked diligently with entities such as the Rainforest Alliance and Greenpeace to secure FSC-certified supplies. The wood seized on August 24 satisfied FSC standards.”

Juszkiewicz believes that the Justice Department is bullying Gibson without filing charges. Full story here at Gateway Pundit

India celebrates Holi: The Festival of Colors, 2011

Thanks to The Atlantic Monthly for Photographs that take us to another time and place.  It is wonderful to have an opportunity to glimpse into these lives filled with joy.

Holi is all about masti and merriment

KANPUR: Holi was celebrated with fun and merriment on Sunday. The festive mood started from Saturday when the people got an opportunity to get engrossed in `Chhoti Holi’. The faces painted in blue, red, green, yellow displayed the magnitude of the celebrations.  More atTimes of India

Around the world, Hindus celebrated Holi last weekend. Called the Festival of Colors, Holi is a popular springtime festival observed on the last full moon of the lunar month. Participants traditionally throw bright, vibrant powders at friends and strangers alike, celebrating the arrival of Spring, commemorating Krishna’s pranks, and allowing everyone a momentary freedom — a chance to drop their inhibitions and simply play and dance. Gathered here are images from this year’s Holi celebrations across India and several other countries. [36 photos

Muslim women – now limited travel, Egypt, not doing much better

So much for International Women’s Day.

Does anyone really think we have any shared values with these muslim folks around the world? Are we not regressing as far as our planet earth evolving forward in giving all inhabitants more enjoyment of life?  The news this time comes from India and Egypt. The women in Egypt who were excited to participate in the day’s festivities were marred by attacks. “In Egypt’s Tahrir Square, women attacked at rally on International Women’s Day”.CS Monitor

“We fought side by side with men during the revolution, and now we’re not represented,” said Passat Rabie, a young woman who came with friends, after men aggressively dispersed the protest. “I thought Egypt was improving, that it was becoming a better country. If it’s changing in a way that’s going to exclude women, then what’s the point? Where’s the democracy?”

Read our earlier story: Egyptian Women and the practice of female genital mutilation to see how much farther there is to go.

Now the news from India:  Women should not travel more than 48 miles from home without male chaperone’

Its ruling was based on the Hadiths – the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad during his lifetime. The 48 mile limit is believed to reflect the maximum distance one could then travel by camel or horse in one day through dangerous desert.

The ruling was made by the Darul Uloom Deoband, the leading Islamic university founded in northern India in 1866, which has millions of followers from Bangladesh and Pakistan to Muslim communities in Britain.

Its fatwa was issued after a female follower had asked: “Is a married woman permitted to travel to another country with her female sibling?”

In a reply on the Deoband website, she was told:”She cannot travel without a ‘mehram’ [male relative]. It’s mentioned in the Hadees that a woman should not travel for more than 48 miles except in the company of a ‘mehram’ relative.”

Its response, which was delivered on International Women’s Day, provoked anger among Muslim women activists who said it was based on conditions in the Arabian peninsula more than 1,400 years ago and no longer relevant in the modern world. Telegraph UK
