Does Hillary clinton know how to use a computer?

I confess. I sat riveted to the Clinton hearing. I am about to offer a supposition that is worthy of two boxes of tin foil. Hang with me. If one listened closely, one could pick up hints from Comey that Hillary was technically challenged. As the hours waxed and waned, the Democrats and Republicans bounced their five-minute drill back and forth. An inkling of it hit a high point when it was suggested that Hillary didn’t pick up on the markings for classified documents. Why, because it was a small c. and well……. There was the outrage well how could she not know… well it was small….

Comey: Clinton May Not Have Understood Classified Marking System

Now comes my supposition. What if Hillary doesn’t know how to or does not for whatever reason, use a computer? What are the legal ramifications of it? What if Comey knows in fact, that Hillary was not involved in the nuts and bolts of sending and receiving this Email business but rather Huma Abedin and Cheyl Mills at the least? If it was they who made all of the arrangements? Quite frankly I have never been able to visualize Hillary laboring over a keyboard. I was reminded of a post of mine:  Deposition: Clinton clueless on Email, never used passwords

The revelations came as part of the deposition by Judicial Watch, the nonprofit government watchdog group, of Lewis A. Lukens, a veteran 27-year foreign service officer at the State Department who served as the deputy executive secretary and executive director of the Office of the Secretariat during part of Clinton’s tenure at State.

Judicial Watch released the deposition Thursday of Lukens who was deposed on May 18.

Citing a conversation Lukens had with Clinton Chief of Staff Cheryl Mills, he wrote, “She says problem (sic) is HRC does not know how to use a computer to do emails — only Blackberry.”  HRC refers to Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Daily Caller?

As Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton never used a password to protect her computer emails, and she was clueless about how regular emails work on a conventional computer, according to a deposition of a foreign service officer at the State Department.

Wait… what?

Fox News has the details on the sworn testimony of a State Department staffer charged with assisting Clinton with gaining access to her personal email address:

In a two-hour deposition with the conservative legal watchdog group Judicial Watch last week, Lewis Lukens also said he offered to set up a “stand-alone” computer for Clinton to check her personal email account, only to be told that she “does not know how to use a computer to do email.”

The question from Judicial Watch attorneys that brought about the revelation of Hillary’s PC IQ issues was a pretty important one:

“The crux of the issue was that BlackBerrys and iPhones are not allowed in the secretary’s office suite, so the question was: How is the secretary going to be able to check her e-mails if she’s not able to have the BlackBerry at her desk with her?”

Here is a clip with Hillary saying, why would I use Email?

Uploaded on Sep 21, 2007

Brian Ross’ exclusive interview with Hillary’s largest (unreported) donor, Peter Paul (www.hillcap.org) showing his home videos that prove Hillary knew him well and solicited illegal contributions from him she has hidden from voters and the FEC for seven years

From the report’s transcript, via the video and Lexis Nexis:

ROSS: (VO) Dionne Warwick sang for the small group. Ironically enough, “That’s what friends are for.” Numerous stars were there, but Paul and his wife Andrea were the ones seated right next to Mrs. Clinton. In fact, Paul’s home videos picked up Mrs. Clinton saying she had stopped using e-mail messages because of all the investigations she had been through.

Senator CLINTON: (From home video) As much as I’ve been investigated and all of that, you know, why would I—I don’t even want—why would I ever want to do e-mail?

Mr. PAUL: (From home video) No, no.

Senator CLINTON: (From home video) Can you imagine?

Starts about 3:16 in regarding a 20/20 Clinton reveal.

Deposition: Clinton clueless on Email, never used passwords

It looks as if the piling on of Hillary continues. While the attention has been on the I.G. report, even more telling is the work Judicial watch is doing. Just released is a deposition taken of a veteran foreign service officer. Huma Abedin is next up for a deposition. Judge Sullivan ruled that the complete depositions can be made public. I am at a loss why this story is not making headlines. Well worth the full read.

State Department not sure if Clinton Email server was hacked

Where to even begin on the latest from our gal Hillary and the I.G. report on her Email escapade. This one caught my eye because I enjoyed watching the fill in guy over at State, Mark Toner, spin in the wind. Actually the whole State Department presser was worthy of a watch, but I’ll take this for a start.

State Department Can’t Definitively Say Clinton Email Server Was Never Successfully Hacked

Bill Clinton pardoned former CIA Director for having Classified Material on home computer

Here is a walk down memory lane. I was trying to figure out which of the Clinton’s scandals would be a good pick for a Saturday review when I came upon this little gem. John Deutch. One of Bill’s many pardons given to a Clinton loyalist. Hillary keeps insisting that there is nothing to see, well, for some reason, I don’t think Deutch was so much different. I just wish some newsperson would ask her about this little pardon. Here we go:

Perhaps she’s forgotten one of her husband’s final acts in the Oval Office: issuing a presidential pardon to former CIA director John
Deutch. Deutch’s offense? Keeping classified material on unsecured home computers.

The pardon came just as Deutch was reportedly going to cop a plea with the Justice Department. Deutch headed the CIA from May 1995 to December 1996. Several days after he left the agency, classified material was discovered on a government-owned computer at his house in Bethesda, Md. Additionally, unsecured classified magnetic media were found in the study. According to the CIA inspector general’s report, the computer had been “designated for unclassified use only.”

As the investigation progressed, the IG discovered that Deutch had “continuously processed classified information on government-owned desktop computers configured for unclassified use during his tenure as DCI [director, CIA] [and that] . . .  these unclassified computers were located in [his] Bethesda, Maryland and Belmont, Massachusetts residences, his offices in the Old Executive Office Building, and at CIA Headquarters.”

Clinton won’t say if she scrubbed server

Apparently Hillary still thinks her Email and server are a joke. She did herself no service when she again defies reality and tells straight up lies. And that server sitting in the bathroom? She won’t answer if she scrubbed it because you see, she just doesn’t understand technology. But she did understand the Nixon tapes now didn’t she? (We can’t hear Ed Henry’s questions in the beginning)

How many had access to Clinton’s E-Mails?

While Hillary spins her tale of the vast right-wing conspiracy that paranoia will bring on, the courts are moving forward in obtaining documents. It looks like the State department is waking up that they might not be able to bury the issue. In an update we have the issue of who all had access to the E-Mails. This may be the real “gotcha” for Clinton. The story broadens out. Way out. Here we go:

Department of State officials refused to identify to a congressional committee the “chain of custody” – the complete list of people who had access to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s private email server, according to The Daily Caller News Foundation’s investigation.

The materials were sought “in order to identify those persons who had touched them and then for us to determine who might have violated classified handling procedures. And we got nothing,” the source said.

In a related development Monday, a federal judge with the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia ordered an accelerated hearing for Aug. 20 on whether to order discovery by attorneys for Judicial Watch on the State Department’s possession of Clinton’s servers, accounts, hard drives or other devices.

U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan ordered the State Department to respond no later than Wednesday to the non-profit watchdog’s request for discovery following repeated failures by the government to fulfill its obligations under the Freedom of Information Act.

Other parties may have had unauthorized access to the Clinton materials if Kendall printed out the emails using either a commercial printing company or an unsecured Williams & Connolly copier machine.

To print out 30,000 paper emails, “it seems likely that [Kendall] would have contracted a commercial printing firm and then as a result, that has now been exposed to someone else,” observed Alex McGeorge, the head of threat intelligence at Immunity, Inc.

Even if Williams & Connolly printed out the 30,000 emails in-house, the best copiers are really computers with large storage capacity that would keep the classified information, McGeorge said.

Hillary’s IT company: ‘Highly likely’ a full backup of device exists

When ABC starts bearing down on the Hildebeast, one has to know the it is getting warmer for the old gal. Her joke about Snap Chat erasing her comment is even more ludicrous. A joke? We shall see who laughs last. Here we go:

Platte River Networks, the Denver-based cybersecurity firm Hillary Clinton hired in 2013 to maintain her old email server, says it is “highly likely” a full backup of the device was made and that the thousands of emails Clinton deleted may still exist, ABC News is reporting.

Clinton hired Platte River to manage her email set-up after she left the State Department in Feb. 2013. Prior to that, the server resided in the basement of her Chappaqua, N.Y. home. It was managed by an IT worker hired by the State Department from Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign.

It is still not clear why exactly Clinton hired Platte River. Many have speculated that it was a response to the March 2013 hack of the email account of Sidney Blumenthal, a longtime Clinton friend.

A spokesman for the Defense Security Service, an arm of the Defense Department, told TheDCNF that Platte River “is not cleared” to have access to classified material. Wisconsin U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson, who chairs the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, said that the finding “raises serious questions” about how secure Clinton’s server was.

Hillary’s little home server used a spam filtering service with access to classified stuff

Here is an interesting bit of news that I found at News Alert. Not that there were many of us figuring out that Hillary’s little server was not quite as safe as the State Department’s server. So for the less than tech savie  individuals, here is how it worked.

Hillary Clinton used a spam filtering service MxLogic to filter her spam and viruses. What this means is – employees at MxLogic, now owned byMcAfee – had full access to all her classified state department email in unencrypted form.

What this means is that when Obama or anyone in the State Department emailed Hillary, the email went to MxLogic. It was then decrypted, checked for spam and viruses, and then reencrypted and sent over the open internet to Hillary’s server. While it was at MxLogic it could be read, tapped, archived, or forwarded to anyone in the world without anyone knowing. Here’s the MX records for clintonemail.com.

clintonemail.com. 7200 IN MX 10 clintonemail.com.inbound10.mxlogicmx.net.
clintonemail.com. 7200 IN MX 10 clintonemail.com.inbound10.mxlogic.net.

I’m Marc Perkel – I’m an email expert and I run a competing spam filtering service Junk Email Filter. (yes – I’m jealous) So I know how email system work. Email from the Internet is routed by DNS records called MX records what are used to look up where to deliver email destined for a recipient. When someone uses a Spam Filtering service they point their MX records to that service and all email for that domain goes to the spam filtering service first – they clean it – and forward the good email on to the recipient server which is secret to the world.

Internet —–> MxLogic ——> Hillary’s Server
