Finally the week long Democrat convention nightmare is over. Now, Harris is on her own. We wait for “The Interview.” Promised by the end of August. The end of the honeymoon.
I give it to Tucker to sum up Harris and the grand finale. I just couldn’t watch it.
Tucker Carlson Reacts to Kamala's Speech: “This Woman‘s Really Scary”
“She's much more skillful than I have ever seen. She's a liar on the deepest level. The things she is saying right now are not just untrue—they're the opposite of the truth, which is the hallmark of evil.… pic.twitter.com/AkuCsKoHaT
Fox news was a major disappointment last night. What were they thinking? Sad when I had to watch MSNBC and CNN for the beginning of the convention speeches. Fox interrupting everyone with “their take.” Trust me, it will be C-Span from here on out. Two of my picks you may have missed.
Here we go to get the blood flowing from the last campaign.
God Bless Trump & the USA – Make America Great Again Song
Setting that aside, there was no comparison to the roll out of the Biden/Harris nomination.
I thought one of the best was the Gaetz presentation. In case you missed it, here it is.
This one Fox missed all together. Super.
Charlie Kirk’s full speech at the Republican National Convention | 2020
Charlie Kirk, founder and president of Turning Point USA, spoke on the first night of the Republican National Convention on Aug. 24, 2020.
The DNC this week welcomed convicted rapist, torturer and killer Donna Hylton to speak to their supporters. Democrats introduced Hylton as an “impactful community leaders.”Gateway Pundit
After I saw this headline over at Gateway Pundit it called to mind a previous post when she was a featured speaker at a women’s march. Warning, a rough story. As a bonus I will throw in Linda Sarsour who appeared because you know its a big big tent.
The video is chilling knowing what we know. She was sentenced to 25 years. She spent 27 years. She squeezed her victim’s testicles with a pliers.
The Women’s March on Washington last week featured as a speaker convicted felon Donna Hylton who, along with several others, kidnapped a man and then tortured him to death.
Hylton, along with three men and three other women, kidnapped 62-year-old real-estate broker Thomas Vigliarolo and held him for ransom, before eventually killing him. As noted in a 1995 Psychology Today article, when asked about forcibly sodomizing the victim with a three foot steel pole, Hylton replied: “He was a homo anyway.”
For the next 15 to 20 days (police aren’t sure just when Vigliarole died), the man was starved, burned, beaten, and tortured. (Even 10 years later, Spurling could recall Rita’s chilling response when they questioned her about shoving a three-foot metal bar up Vigliarole’s rear: “He was a homo anyway.” How did she know? “When I stuck the bar up his rectum he wiggled.”)
Speaking about Hylton, New York City Detective William Spurling told Psychology Today: “I couldn’t believe this girl who was so intelligent and nice-looking could be so unemotional about what she was telling me she and her friends had done. They’d squeezed the victim’s testicles with a pair of pliers, beat him, burned him.”
Then we have Linda Sarsour who needs little introduction.
Anti-Semite Linda Sarsour said at the DNC that the Democrat party “is absolutely our party,” when she spoke at the DNC on 8/18/2020.
After she was done there was dead silence and then some women only appeared on a screen and she waved at them. It did not look like they could see her because they did not react.
Now we move on to the Philadelphia Democratic convention. It looks to be another pandering fest. My take is to keep your eye on the night the anti-police screed by all of the black moms of black kids killed will be presented, and who will be out in force to bash the police. That should light the fire of the protesters that are lined up. This will be no Cleveland. Add a couple of strikes in the offing- the airport, taxi strike over uber drivers and things are shaping up to be one fine time. My earlier post. It’s 1968 again – a look back at the Democratic Convention
One of the permits is for an event consisting of four days of all-day rallies at FDR Park in support of Mr. Sanders. The city said it expects 30,000 participants, and organizers said in an interview they hope turnout will be much higher.
The park is adjacent to the Wells Fargo Center, where many of the Democratic National Convention events will be held — raising the possibility of a large demonstration in support of Mr. Sanders just steps away from where delegates will officially select the Democratic nominee.
Philadelphia’s police union is angry with Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Convention for giving speaking roles to family members of police shooting victims but not to family members of police officers who died in the line of duty.
John McNesby, president of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5, told Philadelphia’s local CBS affiliate that the speaker choices were “putting salt in the wound” and promoting an “anti-police movement.”
The union also released a statement that it was “insulted” by the exclusion of police widows and family members, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer:
“It is sad that to win an election Mrs. Clinton must pander to the interests of people who do not know all the facts, while the men and women they seek to destroy are outside protecting the political institutions of this country,” the statement read. “Mrs. Clinton, you should be ashamed of yourself if that is possible.”
Trump played Cruz like a fiddle? Fellow B-ville comrades were texting back and forth. Would or wouldn’t Cruz come out and support Trump? NO. He didn’t. Finis we said. Now with the light of day, my hunch? Trump trumped him. You don’t come to someone’s party and not support the candidate. Turns out the organization knew that Cruz would not support him and there was Newt, waiting in the wings to soothe the breech of decorum. What say you?
Put this story down in the puzzle column. Add the second part of the headline, Justice Department sides with Republican Pat Toomey against ‘sanctuary city’ policy, who is up for re-election as PA Senator, and double the puzzle. Honestly, I have tuned out for the past week or so on the news business, so maybe someone else can help me out here. Pressure on Philadelphia just as the Dems march in to town? I posted earlier, that every square foot of public space has been spoken for as far as demonstrations are concerned. It’s 1968 again – a look back at the Democratic Convention covers the plan. The Administration could be changing its policy for real? Hmm. I am so cynical these days.
A new Justice Department policy announced last week bars sanctuary cities such as Philadelphia, the host of the Democratic National Convention, from receiving millions of dollars worth of federal law enforcement grants, putting further pressure on Pennsylvania Democrats to abandon policies that impede federal immigration officials.
The Justice Department notified cities last Thursday that they would no longer receive federal law enforcement grants, which totaled $3.4 billion in the past five years, if they have laws on the books that interfere with requests for immigration information from federal authorities.
Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney, who implemented the policy that bars cooperation between city law enforcement and federal immigration agents earlier this year, has resisted pressure from the Obama administration to back down on the issue. Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson even traveled to Philadelphia to personally request that Kenney change course but was rejected.
I have come to learn more about the various methods of achieving delegates than I ever thought I needed to know. So much for Democracy. Open primaries? Where either party can vote for the GOP candidates? So now it is going to be full-bore to totally blow up the Convention. Here Kasich opines that we will get a real lesson on the Democratic process. I find the man almost as offensive as the Hildebeast. No need to get into that today. You betcha flipper – (Kasich, he is always waving his Rino hands.)
