NFL Football Crime Stats – Average Arrest is every five days

Here is my ode to the Super Bowl. Frankly, I have lost most of my interest in football since it has become just one more PC event. Maybe if my Eagles had made it back I could have found the latest gladiator extravaganza interesting.  So find your latest team, favorite player, and find his criminal record. The site says:

NFL Arrest provides an interactive visualized database of National Football League player Arrests & Charges. Learn about your rival team’s history with the law, break down arrests by Player, Position, Crime and Team. Link here Arrests

While the caveat is claimed on the website that the crime rate is lower than the National average, keep in mind, almost all are millionaires and beyond. And the crimes? Well you can look. Here is the latest: 5 days ago.

The Detroit Lions Trevor Bates was arrested for assault after allegedly refusing to pay a $32 cab fare in New York, and then punched an officer in the face.

Maybe these facts represent why the NFL players find rules hard to follow and a chip on their shoulder for being arrested by the police.

The National Football League is in a golden age right now: It’s been 5 days since one of its players has been arrested. Update: Here is the handy-dandy arrest chart  NFL Arrests

The average time between arrests is just seven days, while the record without an arrest is slightly more than two months, at 65 days, according to Arrests

Players get arrested for a variety of crimes: drunk driving, drug offenses, domestic violence, assault and battery, gun violations, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, theft, burglary, rape and even murder.

The NFL virtually embraces players who abuse women. Take this report in the Chicago Tribune: “In the first round [of the 2017 draft], the Oakland Raiders drafted Gareon Conley, who has been accused of rape. In the second round, the Cincinnati Bengals selected Joe Mixon, who in a much-viewed video punches a woman so hard that she falls down unconscious. In the sixth round, the Cleveland Browns selected Caleb Brantley, who was accused of doing pretty much what Mixon did.”

The most arrests: Adam Jones, with 10. Jones has played for both Tennessee and Cincinnati, and he’s been accused of poking a hotel worker in the eye, punching a woman, spitting in a woman’s face at a nightclub, and was “charged with felony coercion in connection to strip club shooting that paralyzed a man” (take a look at all his arrests here).

The top positions of those arrested:

  • Wide receiver – 140
  • Linebacker – 119
  • Cornerback – 116
  • Running back – 99
  • Defensive tackle – 80

Belgium Eyes Child Euthanasia – How far behind are we?

While one can be quick to be appalled when reading what Belgium has in store for children, recall that we are not so far behind with our DHHS Sibelius. Just connecting a few dots for those who still think Obamacare is going to be swell.

Recall this? Kidney Patients told to accept death, forgo Dialysis –  Asking Kidney Patients to Forgo a Free Lifeline

As they calmly say:

“It was meant to keep young and middle-aged people alive and productive, many of the patients who take advantage of the law are old…

One idea, promoted by leading specialists, is to change the way doctors refer to the decision to forgo dialysis. Instead of saying that a patient is withdrawing from dialysis or agreeing not to start it, these specialists say the patient has chosen “medical management without dialysis”.  ”That is the preferred term,”

Obama said

We will change the way we pay for health care – not by procedure or the number of days spent in a hospital, but with new incentives for doctors and hospitals to prevent injuries and improve results. . . . If we’re wrong, and Medicare costs rise faster than we expect, this approach will give the independent commission (Death Panels) the authority to make additional savings by further improving Medicare.”

says it isn’t her place to pick and choose transplant recipients— The plight of a dying 10-year-old girl in urgent need of a lung transplant has  been taken up by some GOP lawmakers, and it’s shining a light on what critics  say is a questionable policy that puts children further down the waiting list. BRUSSELS — Since euthanasia was legalized in Belgium in 2002, Belgians have been euthanized for blindness, depression, anorexia nervosa, and a botched sex change operation.

Now, Belgians want to allow euthanasia for children.

Under legislation currently being debated in the Belgian Parliament, terminally ill or suffering children under 18 could be euthanized if they request it, their parents consent to it, and an expert deems the child capable of understanding their decision.

The bill is widely supported and is expected to become law.

Euthanasia is now considered medical therapy in Belgium.

Not only do two-thirds of Belgians favor the new euthanasia bill, but in a controversial poll, three-quarters said it would be okay for parents to euthanize their sick children without the child’s consent.

“The child does not have the maturity to get married or to buy alcohol or to buy cigarettes if he is 14. Now we are saying that because he is suffering, he might have the possibility to ask for euthanasia,” Carine Boucher, with the European Center for Bio-ethics in Brussels, said.

McAfee: ‘Hackers can empty bank accounts of Obamacare enrollees’

A great report by John McAfee of the well-known virus protection software company who gives us the straight story on the now infamous Obamacare software. Maybe we should just sit back and let this sucker sink on its own. If it is all that it appears to be, let them have it.

Hot Air reports that

From House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers last week:

And yet, the Obama administration has provided virtually no information regarding the real time readiness for implementing the hub’s security controls necessary to ensure that no data breach occurs. …

Federal and state officials as well as private advocacy groups have been warning for months about the coming deluge of scammers going on the prowl for people’s sensitive personal and financial information, but that doesn’t make it any more welcome, via The Hill:

State insurance regulators are encountering sites designed to mimic ObamaCare’s enrollment portal, the online hub where millions of people are meant to purchase healthcare coverage.

Obamacare websites have “no safeguards” to protect Americans who enroll in the health insurance exchanges from hackers who will “empty your bank account,” according to internet security pioneer John McAfee.

With Obamacare now floundering helplessly in the water with problems being reported across the nation, will this latest bombshell from computer security expert McAfee be the bomb that sinks the Obamacare sinking ship? Will YOU enroll in it knowing this?
