About Us

Family Owned. Family Focused.

Building Blocks TX ABA was created from a simple belief: when people truly care, they do their best work.  Everything we do is guided by a genuine commitment to the children and families we serve.

Scout has more than a decade of experience in ABA as a therapist, case manager, and BCBA.  She discovered ABA after beginning a master’s program in counseling and quickly realized she had found her calling and changed her Master’s program.  Scout went on to complete her master’s degree and has since helped train a number of BCBAs who have worked with Building Blocks and other ABA providers across the city, state, and country.  She brings both experience and heart to the families she works with every day.

Sarah has over 20 years of experience working with school-aged children in local ISDs.  With a background in special education, she has spent years partnering with parents and helping children with special needs succeed in the classroom. She has gone on to complete her master’s in ABA and became a license BCBA while working as an RBT as part of the Building Blocks team.

Wanting to provide more individualized and family-centered care, Sarah and Scout—together with their husbands—started Building Blocks TX ABA as an in-home practice in 2021.

What started as a small practice serving families across North Houston grew into two centers, along with continued in-home services, at the end 2025.

Scout and Sarah remain closely involved with both the families and the staff at Building Blocks. They work hard to create an environment where children can grow, families feel supported, and team members feel valued.

At Building Blocks TX ABA, we believe progress happens one step at a time — and we are honored to be part of each child’s journey.
