A Youth Led Environmental Action Campaign Raising Awareness For And Providing Education On Bermuda’s Unique Biodiversity.

Campaign Goals & Outcomes

      1. Increase Ocean literacy
      2. Connect personal choice with environmental impact
      3. Identify & promote individual sustainable practices
      4. Reinforce the power and impact of young voices

 

Outcomes will highlight Bermuda’s connection to the following UN Sustainable Development Goals:

Marine biodiversity is the variety of species ecosystems and generic diversity found in a marine environment which includes everything from coral reef to fish sea turtles and plankton. Marine biodiversity is important because it keeps the coast and its inhabitants happy and healthy.

As we celebrate World Fisheries Day on November 21, it’s a great time to highlight the importance of Bermuda’s marine biodiversity. Our coral reefs and fish populations are vital to the health of our oceans and our island’s way of life. Let’s dive into how government policies and community efforts work together to protect these valuable resources for the future.
