Welcome to the 2022–2023 motion picture awards season, where we keep track of the major feature film and feature documentary winners throughout the year.

We include several big festival prizes from Sundance, the Berlinale, Cannes, Venice, Toronto and London. Then we roll on into the business end of the year, from November through until the 95th Academy Awards. We include major guilds, significant critics associations, select international awards, and several popular awards–e.g. E! People’s Choice–because people are people, too.

The list is ranked by each film’s weighted average rating (highest first). Read the notes for award specifics. We create separate Letterboxd lists for the biggest categories at the Academy Awards, while nominees for major award ceremonies are kept track of in many other well-curated member lists — we’ll add links in the comments.
