As a language student, I want to challenge myself to watch more films in foreign languages. Come and join me if you want!

"Rules": Watch 52 films in at least 42 different languages in 2026. You can watch them in any order and at your preferred speed. If possible, review them. This includes short films, rewatches, multilingual films etc. - just have fun!

"Hard Mode": Include as many languages that are new to you as you can, include at least 2 different sign languages, and 3 different indigenous or minority languages.

"Easy Mode": If you can't commit to a full challenge, just try to explore as many different languages as possible, or explore one foreign language in depth. I'm all about accessibility :)

Note on "Language": Since Letterboxd language stats are not always accurate, you don't have to rely on them if you disagree with something. Use your own judgment, expertise, or research if you want to count something towards the challenge even if Letterboxd does not list it as a primary language.
