hi everyone! i've decided to make my own challenge <3 i was inspired by natalie's linkee challenge, and the popular 100 degrees challenge. call this a bit of a mash up with my own twists :) the basic idea is to emulate a chain link, or a chain reaction. i can't wait to see what you guys come up with! here's how it works:

rules
1) you have to choose 100 films.

2) your first film is your starting/anchor point; everything else will stem off of this one, so choose wisely!

3) each film has to relate to the previous film on the list. so film 2 on the list has to link to film 1 in some way, film 3 has to link to film 2 in some way, and so on.

4) you can choose any links you want for the connections from film to film, there are really no parameters, as long as it relates in some way, the chain works :) you can get as obscure or as basic with the links as you want, but i personally tried to create some really specific connections that would make for some fun picks :)

5) you can include rewatches if you'd like, as i have a few as well.

6) there is no time limit on when you have to finish watching the films you pick. no pressure <3

7) it would be really helpful for me and for others viewing your lists if you put each link (with a short explanation if necessary) in the notes for each movie, so people can read along and see why you chose each film, and how it relates to the one before it. i will include my links in the notes of this list, not only for an example of how it can work for your own list, but also so you can see why i picked everything :)

8) please link your list in the comments when you're finished making it, so i can include you in the participants list! i will try to update the participants list every few days.

9) try not to reuse a film or a link idea after you've used them once. they can be similar ideas, but it's probably better if each one is a new idea and a new film, so that you can have a fully functional chain. if you absolutely can't help it, like i couldn't around movies 78-80 (yes i messed up on my own challenge and didn't pick a movie for 79), then that's okay. just maybe try to avoid doing it if you can, for the sake of variety :)

10) you don't have to watch in any particular order, feel free to skip around if you like!

11) you don't have to use my links as a prompt, like you would for a scavenger hunt. mine are just what i came up with personally, just use them for inspiration or a reference point if need be!

12) it would be great when reviewing films you watch from your list if you could tag "chain reaction challenge" so that i and others can find your reviews easily :)

13) most importantly - i want you guys to have fun with this, so pick whatever films you'll most want to see <3 my list took quite awhile to make, so i fully expect it to take everyone else some time to complete theirs as well. take your time if you need to! some of my personal choices are highly anticipated ones that i've been wanting to see, it would be cool if this gave others the chance to pick films they've really been wanting to see as well :)
