Based on this list by olivia. Basically the rules I set for myself go like this:
1) No rewatches. Resist the temptation.
2) Start with a movie. Any movie at all, as long as it's not a rewatch.
3) Every movie on the list has to be somehow related to the movie before it. These connections can be as concrete or as fuzzy as you like, as long as you can explain it.
4) This is the kicker: You have to use a unique connection each time. With 100 movies you've never seen that you need to daisy-chain together, your connections are gonna have to get pretty abstract at some point. You can only watch a movie because it has…

4) This is the kicker: You have to use a unique connection each time. With 100 movies you've never seen that you need to daisy-chain together, your connections are gonna have to get pretty abstract at some point. You can only watch a movie because it has the same director as another one so many times (once, for those keeping score).
5) Don't scrutinize my list too closely, or else you'll notice me breaking the rules at times. Don't tell anyone.
6) Have fun!
I made a particular effort to seek out movies that aren't American and movies I've never heard of, just to keep it spicy for myself. I have no doubt that some of these movies are gonna be stinkers, but I just like checking out new movies, so all is good.
Turn on notes to see the connections for my list, you'll need them for some of the more wispy threads I started reaching for about halfway through the list, when I realized what I had gotten myself into. Or, for a challenge, I guess you could keep them off and guess what the connections are. This'll be fun!
