There is a daily scavenger hunt on Letterboxd but it is not horror specific. I was looking for a while and apparently the only time horror scavenger hunts happen is in October. So I apologize for the short notice on this scavenger hunt. We have 31 days to watch 31 movies but try to review at least 10! Please make sure to tag the reviews "July Horror 18". If you are participating paste the link to your list and I will link your name here.
Participants: Sunday Revallo, Adam Loves Bad Movies, Perry, MissLauren, Tony the Terror, maskull, Neil, Paul D, Cherryz, Adam Barker, Austin,
Wilson Carter
Below are the things you should search out to complete this scavenger hunt.…

Daily Horror Scavenger Hunt 1 - July 2018
There is a daily scavenger hunt on Letterboxd but it is not horror specific. I was looking for a while and apparently the only time horror scavenger hunts happen is in October. Below are the things you should search out to complete this scavenger hunt. Rewatched movies are okay, but it would be cool if you watch something you haven't seen unless otherwise noted. For my reviews change the view setting and you will see links and how each movie fits the below specifications.
1. I am sure we are all guilty of putting a popular horror movie to the side as you tell yourself you will get to it later. Today is that day! Watch a horror movie that is popular that you haven't seen.
2. The fun thing about horror movies is that sometimes the artwork is far superior to the movie. Watch a movie that has excellent cover art. For an idea check out Tony Terror’s list: https://boxd.it/1heUm
3. Let's celebrate the horror movie sequel. Watch any horror sequel and try not to compare it to the original.
4. In USA it is Independence Day! We should find movies with Americans in other countries. Bonus points* if the film is filmed in another country.
5. Movies that are based off of books are kind of the norm. Let's watch a horror movie based off of a book that is not written by Stephen King.
6. I hate found footage. Sometimes I hate myself. Let's watch a found footage movie.
7. Sleaze is a part of horror movie lore as much as a guy in a hockey mask. Try to find the sleaziest horror movie that you can.
8. If you are playing along more than likely you dig Dario Argento. Let's watch some late era Argento. (No 1970's or 1980's)
9. Let's show some respect to masters of horror from yesteryear. Watch a movie that was released between 1910 and 1949.
10. George A Romero is one of my favorite director's who single handily created one of my favorite sub genres of horror. Sadly, we are watching a zombie movie that Romero had nothing to do with.
11. The occult and horror movies have often been associated with each other. Today is the day to celebrate this by watching a movie that the main theme is the supernatural.
12. Asylums are often associated with horror movies. Today we will watch a horror movie from the production company The Asylum. Website for a list of movies: theasylum.cc
13. It is Friday the 13th!!!! To make it simple let's rewatch a Friday the 13th movie!
14. Friday the 13th spawned many imitators. Today is the day to watch one of those.
15. Let's watch some Italian horror from the 70s. Except you can't watch anything by Dario Argento.
16. Today is the one year anniversary of the world losing George Romero. Watch or rewatch any movie he has directed.
17. I love movies with the word "massacre" in the title. Today we will watch a movie with "Massacre" in the title but it cannot take place in Texas.
18. Isn't John Saxon cool? I think most of us can agree on that. Today we are watching a movie with John Saxon!
19. A guilty pleasure of mine is to find movies with scream queens from the 1980s. Today we are going to watch a movie that features either Linnea Quigley, Brinke Stevens or Michelle Bauer. Bonus points* if you find one with all 3!
20. The 1950s gave us a lot of cool things like umm... well we got some cool stuff from that decade. Sadly, we won't find it here. Today we are watching a Creature feature from the 1950s.
21. Heavy Metal bands are something often associated with horror movies. That is a good thing because today we are watching a movie that features a metal band. (The band doesn't have to be real!)
22. Who else gets creeped out by evil kids? Time to get over that fear as we watch a movie about a possessed child.
23. In my opinion haunted houses are kind of lame to go to. That isn't always the fact when it comes to horror movies about haunted houses. Today we are watching a movie about haunted houses.
24. Shot on video horror movies are like a rite of passage for many horror nerds. Today we celebrate the cheapest of the cheap and watch a SOV or extremely low budget horror movie.
25. Sharks are cool and there are plenty of horror movies about sharks. Today we are watching a shark movie but it can't be Jaws or a Jaws sequel.
26. Sometimes aliens cross the line of science fiction with horror. Today we are watching one of those movies.
27. Today we will watch a movie with the word "blood" in the title.
28. From what I hear that Alfred Hitchcock guy was cool. Today we are watching one of his movies.
29. It is the year 2018 so let's watch a horror movie that was released in any year that ends with the number 8. Examples are1968,1978,1988 you get the idea.
30. Let's watch a horror movie with a celebrity before they were a celebrity!
31. The late1990s brought us Scream and the teen horror revival. Let's watch a late 90s horror flick.
*Bonus points will make you feel better about watching a movie every day for a month!
