Booster is an app developed on behalf of the Wilhelmina Children's Hospital in Utrecht. The app helps young people with chronic fatigue to get a grip on their complaints and is part of their treatment process.
Thinking, measuring, knowing, experimenting
Booster (PROfeel) has 4 steps; thinking, measuring, knowing and experimenting. Which are woven into PROfeel's blended care process.
Think
You start by 'thinking', together with your practitioner you decide which suspicions you want to investigate. Do you get tired of going to school or do you get tired of staying at home... Add these questions to your personal questionnaire.
To measure
Step 2 is 'measurement', over a number of weeks you will complete your personal questionnaire.
Know
You will get back the connection between the answers during the 'knowing'. The more questionnaires you complete, the better the feedback you receive. Together with your therapist, you determine based on your report what you could change to get a grip on your fatigue.
Experiment
Last but not least, you get to work on your new goals while 'experimenting'. By experimenting with your goals and adjusting them as necessary, you will hopefully end up with some good habits that will help you get a handle on your fatigue.
Building your track
During the course you can earn points in the app by completing questionnaires. With these points you can buy new items for your track and make it as fun as possible for you. Improve your own high score or create a rainbow track, whatever you want.
Diary
Boost also has a diary in which you can keep track of how you feel or how your day was. You can decide how you want to use the diary. If you have little energy, you can also simply give the day a sticker.
Progress
While experimenting you can also see what effect your goals have on your life. This way you can see if it helps you, or if you might be able to tweak your goals a bit.
